She's finally Done! After loads of delays due to being busy elsewhere, and having to wait on parts, I have finally finished building my FT Cruiser!

She just needs a lick of paint to keep that paper-covered foam from wrinkling if it gets a little wet. I'm not sure what I want the design to be though. I knocked up some ideas in photoshop, what do people think? By all means throw in your own ideas, if you have any, it'd be much appreciated. :)

Oh, because of the paper, I want to laminate her a bit. Does anyone have any suggestions that'd make a nice finish without brush tracks or adding too much weight?

Hi MM the 04 Raf Invasion looks fantastic and I like the rising sun. One of my favourite planes of all time is the DH 88 Comet. Josh Bixler said he took his inspiration of this design from the Comet, that is why I suggested it.
I have the Durafly version of the DH88 but I am not even going to fly it ,as it a notorious tip staller.
Bixler has dealt with this problem very well using an undercambered wing tip that the Swede developed for the Spitfire.
    Happy flying BB56.

I have built and flown 3 of these along with 2 Of the Su-37's ,there's a reason I keep building them. They fly awsome and can maneuver well.

While waiting for next week's RCP F22 V5, I've gone witha 200% FT Arrow. Pulled the Detrum out of my rookie mistake #2 Dynam Trojan. Done all the calculations and it should fly but no aerobatics. May cause an eclipse, though!:)

I finished the Parkflyers International Tourer. It is a high wing monoplane reminiscent of the 40`s and 50`s style.
It is based on the Aeronca L3 but with a larger fuselage. The L3 wing gave loads of lift so I decided to make a new plane which could accommodate larger motor and battery.
Hopefully it should have a better performance than the L3.
I am just going out to take it on it`s maiden flight. IMG_20160731_173708180.jpg

Nice and neat finish, BB56 :) The earlier video of L3 showed plenty of potentials. It's a trainer, but you flew it like SU-34 v4 :D

I have just got back from the field thankfully with the plane still intact.
As Sterling101 will testify it is pretty windy here in the Midlands in England this evening.
I got the plane up ok but the wind got worse and I had to walk about 500 meters to land the plane safely in longer grass.
The plane shows great promise and is pretty stable for such a lightweight(330 grams without battery).
The flight was around 15minutes on a 1300mha battery and still had 11.48 volts when landed.

Thanks guy`s I tried to make a better finish as some of my new planes looked very tatty, unfortunately the finish doesnt make them fly any better.
I am going to add some stripes along the flanks.

Since I can't fly these day because of the wind, I decided to build my own hybrid trainer. It's a combination of three different plans and my twist on building. Flitetest's Explorer wings, Experimental Airline's tube fuselage, and The Bloody Baron Ugly stick wheel assembly. Someday the wind will stop blowing other than in the middle of the night and I'll give it a try along with a few other planes I've built over the last few months. If you didn't know it. I like building planes. On a side note I did have to say good bye to two of my older planes to make room for these. But it's ok. 20160806_085940.jpg
