I'm not good at takeing video,I have a few hat cams and one also attached to my transmitter.I'm more interested in haveing my undivided attention on my plane than taking a video,I try but their never in frame.

Just finished a f15 mk2 from frcfoamies, just decided to try their design, covered in vinyl, going to make it just with elevons only, keep it lite.

I just noticed that you might have permanetly attached your canopy,You will find it easier to place your battery in with it being detachable with magnets. Also it will be easier to get the battery out on a little bit of a hard nose landing becouse the battery can get thrown far foward makeing hard to get out.

I will cut out an hatch, and use foam to keep the battery from moving with Velcro also, thanks for the input, I sure learned a lot from builders like you, and I'm using foam board too, makes building more affordable.

Have you tried the new water proof foam board from flite test? It's awesome, don't have to worry it's going to get wet.

  15. When I stuff the battery all the way into the nose, usually there is no nose left and the battery falls out. :D :D

I think you're going to want bigger elevons, those look a bit small. I've found they work better on wings if you taper them the other way, better roll authority.

Looks like a handful of fun, it's fun to try different types of planes, you doin differential thrust on the motors?

    Hi Pete,
If you want to get some of those wrinkles out and make the tape adhesive stick better , run a medium hot iron over it.
Practice is needed with some scrap to get the right temperature. Make sure to do it when the Misses is out and make sure you clean the iron afterwards.:D
If the iron is too hot it will cause the tape to shrivel to nothing and possibly the foam underneath as well, but it does tighten up the tape just like shrinking film on a balsa model.
