WHAT DID YOU FLY TODAY???

Discussion in 'Scratchbuilding!' started by SONICFOAM, Nov 20, 2010.

  1. Finally a half assssed day, wind was below 20k and the temp was above 0. I did have the PI PAK FA T50 out for a couple spins today, just love this bird, my Need For Speed plane.

  2. I did fly my A10 twin pusher , this was the second attempt for the maiden . Second time was a success other then a hard thump landing which broke the front gear and the camera guy doesn't know the difference between on and off so no video of the flight. I do have a pre taxi video and a post flight walking to pick up my lame bird video.

  6. Right around 62" for the twin pusher and I believe about 28" for the new PI single pusher

EDIT; little guy is larger then I thought, it measures 33 1/2" for WS

  7. Well see today I had out the same three planes, my design and build of the twin pusher A10, the new proto type PI A10 and the PI Pak Fa T50. Winds calmed down to 20k but it was only 6 degrees outside

Screwed up the landing again on the large A10 tearing off the landing gear again but this time I turned on the camera so you will see it fly :D.

The PI A10 flies extremely well, launches just beautiful.

The PI T50 is just simply fun and speedy. :)

  10. Cool, when is the 4S test session happening???? ;)

Oh, don't remember where you mentioned it but I picked up some of that Craft Medley Premium Craft Glue today, $1.25 for 1.7oz bottle so if it works good it's a heck of a buy. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Jeff :) Hope that glue works out for you OK, I have been building with if for a couple of years now, be interested to hear how it sets up compared to UHU as I have never tried UHU since I can get a pretty steady supply of the Craft Medley Glue at a local dollar store and it works really well for how I like to build my planes.

Hope to get a 4S session done later in the week, I will have to figure out how to get the battery in the electronics bay as they are a little thicker/wider than the 3S batteries and it is pretty snug in there already, but I'll figure something out:)

    Cheers,

    Scott

I first found mine in a Dollar Tree store and another "mom and pop" dollar store close to me is also carrying it. Unfortunately I was not able to find it online anywhere, so I always keep a few bottles on hand. Thus far (touch wood) I have not had any of it start to harden in the bottle even after having it around for 6 months or more.

    Cheers,

    Scott
