Sorry for your German wood fighter, you had spent some hours rebuilding her.
Landing the P40 requires some skill, no doubt.
    Nice fleet!
    Cheers.

  2. I will salvage my parts out of it plus a antique pilot and canopy. ;)

These old warbirds in the wind are fun to land.

Thermaled my repaired EZglider 3 (a wing servo was also damaged), too much wind, too early in the morning, but stood airborne for 30 mn.
Once more a heavily crashed plane flies better than new!
    Cheers.

I took the newly completed FRCfoamies MiG 29 twin motor out for my 2nd and 3rd flights Sunday morning. What a smooth fly machine. The guys at the field where I fly were skeptical about the twin motors on the elevons but after a couple of demstration flights they were astonished at the outstanding flight characteristics. So gentle and predictable and launch was so easy. Now I have to dial it in, increase the throws, add ailerons and learn how to mix the motors and the rudder. What a great plane. Kudos to FRCfoamies for a really great design. 9F5C21EC-8E68-46F8-B3C7-754BFABFAE89.jpeg FA63BB89-050D-442D-884F-DAF0F3C8FA19.jpeg

    Wing night in The 'Loops!
Flew the Eflite C Ray 180, the FT Mini Arrow and the Homey 2. Finally found the best prop. Flies nicely with 5x4.5x3, but rips with 5x4.5. It's not pretty, but this ain't no fashion show! Lol

That should be the motto I put above my build table.

    Hi folks -

Had these two steeds out putting them through their paces today:)
    2018-08-09 08.50.46.jpg
Unfortunately, had to cut the flying session a bit short, worst day yet for smoke and ash from all the forest fires ravaging the province of British Columbia. My thoughts and prayers and deepest thanks to those folks fighting these fires, many of them have been going non stop for weeks. For those most affected by the fires, I also send good thoughts for their safety and well being. Unfortunately, we keep breaking records for worst forest fire season every year lately, not a good trend. :(

Here is some video of my favorite of the V5 series the F-22 and my new favorite of the V4 series, the Su-30.

At about 2:45 of this video, nearly had a park jet/cranium collision...;) Missed it by that much....:)

    Cheers,

    Scott

Hadn't flown my PFI SU35 for a while. A little sketchy at the beginning, but saved it! Looks great in the air.

    Nice planes, and nice flying.
Your smooth landings explain how many flights your planes log and yet remain in shape!
    Cheers.

As sea temps are at 24 º, thermal wind we usually rely to slope are getting weaker.

We tried to fly with a friend in really marginal conditions even for my light Fox.

First launches were followed by a short circuit before landing by fear of loosing her, I noticed she was flying a tad tail heavy. I very slightly adjusted CG forward, it made the difference between sinking or soaring.

During half an hour my friend's slightly heavier Fox (with rudder and some paint) didn't remain airborne (in despair he wanted to remove his rudder servo on the spot, but it would require a lighter battery to balance).

Wind gained a little strength and was now better oriented, I could fly my standard hour and half, and perform aerobatics.

At the end of our flight we met the very friendly website manager of an UK RC club, he asked permission to take pics of us with our gliders.

We invited him to our club, and to join us on the slope, but he was near the end of his holidays, he said he would come back next year with planes.

    Cheers.

    Hi Everyone -

Had these two steeds out for some turnin' and burnin' today :)
    20180823_090049.jpg

Been awhile since I had the RC Powers T-50 V5 out to stretch it's legs, loves to go fast and is very agile:)

Hadn't flown anything on 4S for awhile either, so figured it was time to scare myself a little bit with some extra speed ;)

    Cheers,

    Scott

Alright. Can't just fly the fixed wing stuff. Actually been quite windy out on the farm during my visit so I've actually flown more of my miniquad then my fixed wing planes.
