    Howdy,

Just got my new Turnigy 9x (think the 'Happy Days Are Hear Again' song).

I am so new to this RC stuff that I leak green stuff when I walk. If I sould like I don't know what I am doing, I really don't! So here goes....

    SO FAR:
I have modified it to Mode 1.
I have installed the internal simulator modification (1 K ohn resister).
I have both vJoy (audio cable input) and FMS (flight sim) running, kinda. Can't seem to get much rudder action.

    Here is my question.
What is the normal stick setup:
a who is on 1st, what is on second type question.

Left stick up/down is throttle, right?
    What about left stick, left/right
    Same for right stick.

    Thanks for your assistance.

    John

Wow, good job on those mods!

I've attached a wiring diagram from our Ultimate Course, this is essentially the standard wiring setup for a regular model with ailerons, elevators, and rudders. The control directions at the bottom are for a mode 2 transmitter, so just imagine the left stick is the right and vice versa.

Let us know when you can get flying!

Sorry if I was not clear.

What is the normal setup on the TRANSMITTER.

    Left stick is:
    Up/Down = throttle
    Left/Right = _________
    Right stick is:
    Up/Down = _________
    Left/Right = _________

If you read the illustration clearly you'll see the transtmitter sticks just above the plane animations showing which way is correct, but to answer your question in the form you suggest:

    For Mode 2:

    left stick:
    up/down = throttle
    left/right = yaw/rudder

    right stick
    up/down = pitch/elevator
    left/right = roll/ailerons
