I also thought it would fly just fine. I’m a little upset about crashing it as I was just getting the feel of it. I do plan to make another one with some more changes.

What's this? I suddenly felt the urge to build somthing and what did I have Plan's for that I could build quickly over the weekend? Of course it had to be the alpha jet mk2! Well kind of........ I couldn't just do things as normal, especially after discovering the quad motors you use on mini quads work so good in our parkjets! I've designed a twin motor mount to accept these new motors and still utilise the original mounting slots! Just need to wait for hobbyking to ship my motor's but can't wait to try this!

That should give it a gyro effect and more stability in high alpha.
    Nice mod:)

Great, Jay, I'll give this a shot once you get the twin motor mounts tested. The stability of the MK2 design with the twin CR props will be amazing! I did the MK2 with twin 2700KV motors and 5.5 inch props but it was a little heavy. The Quad motors will take care of that! Do you remember the 120 percent scale Twin Alpha Jet MK1 with two MJV3s? It was a blast!

I enjoy how the AJ never seems to go out of fashion and... is just unusual enough to draw a double take when people see it.

This looks like a fun project and i would agree. I am truly impressed with the torque and efficiently of these little quad motors under load.

    Keep us posted !

Its out there in deep within the ethernet!!! This video was the MK1 and the twins made it extremely stable. Since the MK2 is already extremely stable, the twin motors should be crazy on there.

I was just going to make the same comment Jim. I've had bad luck with those lately. Mostly wandering and don't return to center most of the time. I hope you have better luck with them Jay. :)

Quite jealous of you guys with the 3d printers. Man, they open up so many possibilities. Can't really afford one and don't have room to store one but sure wish I did!
