Wow, after seeing your builds, I've got to build another! Maybe another 120 percent puller!

Goodbye Note 7 Hello S7 Edge!

  3. Thanks, well we will see how I do at night flying, could be short lived. :D

A puller would really be different. ;)

  6. Well electronics are all in and balanced, ready for the maiden. Now of course the weather has warmed up but that to brings more wind. Since our dump of snow a few weeks ago which is all gone now people had put their projects on hold but now because it has warmed up they are calling again so I might have to go work. :(

My new LED strip arrived. And I've made a plug in loom for the lighting now too so I can have it either on or off.

It surprised me how easy it was to fly at night. Just be aware of where the ground is on landing, or in my case where the one small tree is casting it's magnetic field from calling your plane in...

I picked it up from eBay for the nose - http://r.ebay.com/hG3Mg7

But the others I got from Bang Good a month or more back. The new one is much better though as you can cut the strip and add wires every 3 LED's. I've got some blue, green and red on the way on the back of how good this new one is to use.

  13. Well, I tried flying mine, it would go up but once you dropped the nose you couldn't get it back up. About 3 attempts , even moved the cg back quite a bite same result, first couple just dented the nose the 3rd one broke it off so it's on the operating table. ;(

Sounds strange that, you've not got any odd thrust occurred on the motor mount have you?

  15. Not sure, double checked to make sure the prop was on right, if I could have balanced it I would have thrown a 4S battery in it to give it a ton of thrust. ;)

I've gone Turnigy 2200 and 6x4x3 for now, but might just pop the 7x3 on for some fun just to see what it flies like with nearly 2:1 thrust ratio :D
One for the daylight I feel though to help prevent "vertical landing" ;)

That does sound strange- never had that happen with 4 different versions. Do you have full throws? As sterling says, is the thrust angle right?

Just had a thought - where was your battery mounted in the nose as in how far back??

    Wildthing likes this.
  19. Battery was right infront of the motor mount. I will double check my throws also.

  20. Here's my short little flight, I shouldn't have tried it the 3rd time with a chipped prop, just a little Knick in it but you could hear that it was out of balance. Should be ready by tomorrow for another attempt
