  1. Well I am going to gamble and try 3D printed control horns, hope it doesn't bite me in the butt. ;)

  2. I have 3d printed ones myself and they work just fine.

  3. Well all the controls are now in so getting closer to being ready for the maiden. That will of course depend on mother nature which has been quite the little #@*@! lately.

  5. To me it's not so much the mounting of it , it's the trusting that the end of the horn doesn't break off. :D

  6. Motor is in and controls are all set up and she balances with a 2200 3S battery so ready to maiden. I did give the floats one more layer of protection, thin glossy plastic from a page protector and a light coating of spray adhesive to hold it on.

I Am trying your mod podge trick on this one too. First time I've used this and like on yours shows a glossy shine off the runners.

I only did two coats on the pontoons and the rest is still naked foam.

You are a brave one to be flying a white plane against a gray sky in the snow.

Very cool and nicely done but please ... paint it

My first Mako is done and given away last Friday to a happy home. Now I have to make another one for me.... ...what was I thinking

While I wait for the weather to settle down and I can get to the printer's, I decided to go ahead with my first Polaris.

  16. Start of some freehand flames, let's see how bad I can screw it up. Worse case scenario I will have a red Mako. :D 2019_0113_112857_001.JPG

I'm still busy working on the Steve Shumate Polaris. I am back to watching glue dry again.

I wanted to get all my building and foam work done so I can concentrate in just painting later. I'll have about 5 planes to color in a few short weeks. [IMG]
