Very nice... look forward to see where it goes. I have had a lot of fun with this plane.

  2. This is somewhat of a finished version of the plane completed. The "shark-look" fits really well to this design and is apt...

It looks like a store purchased plane with the emblems you've chosen.

    Sweeeet looking Mako and
.... it's about time you built this one !!

I have beat my first Mako senseless doing touch and goes and playing in the snow. My biggest concern is she is no longer and a long way from ever being water tight again.

My first Mako still flys just fine and in fact I just checked trim to assure myself it's ready for when the snow flies. Today it 55°F outside

I decided to build a second Mako and make this one considerably more water tight this time. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

I did finish the Mako build last night. All it needs is a little final touch of sand and some color.

    Mako makin.

Now i need to hustle more because Kk has already gotten the jump on the MiG 2.88 twin.

It's a surprisingly fast build once you get going. I spent more time messing with laying in cf bracing and hinge lines.

You do have to cut a bunch of angles freehand is the only real twist but even with that. After a few cuts even that goes along pretty fast.

I had the printer warmed up this evening and made a quick print motor mount for the Mako.

Pretty simple stuff really but let me know if you want a copy of the .stl file. [IMG]

  16. Couple suggestions Tom before you print it, add holes for venting plus a place to feed the wires through and I would also round those top to corners .

The motor literally rides outdoors so heat/ cooling should not be an issue.

I'll use sand paper if needed on pointy corners but the mount fits just inside the foam line. It shouldn't be necessary. [IMG]

Is this build at 100% Tom?
I wondered if you have considered building it bigger.
