Hey FBK, thanks for the link to the FT planes. I downloaded the zip file and ran it and I got folders for each plane but Phoenix doesn't recognize them because they don't contain a .pkg file that the program needs. Any ideas?

  2. Never tried that but I don't want to be pulling in and out my module every time I want to use it. I will get Phoenix all loaded up into the new PC and give it a whirl though

    I don’t blame you Jeff.

There is a resistor Mod that is also supposed to work but not sure I would dork around with my go to flying TX either.

    Flyte,
    Works fine for me.

Phoenix does not need the .pkg file for these models.

In other words, do not try to install them normally like you would a standard .pkg file as they are not installed into the program that way Flyte.

Just unzip into or drop the pre-unzipped files into the correct folder of Phoenix.
    BOOM!,.. DONE!
Did you follow the instructs at the top of their thread?

I will post it here for convenience.

    Why?

  7. Because they have some of their planes (FRC) in there also so I gather they would know how that's all. :)

    Gotcha,

Install instructions appear at the top of the thread for the FliteTest models made for Phoenix.

They are not .pkg files that Phoenix normally uses.

Input the instructions on how to do it are in this thread posted in answer to Flytes question.

Hope that helps, it worked for me without any issue.

Yeah Wild I try to be selective on when I pull my module out too. There's always a time and a place. :D

Flyby, thanks for straightening me out. I did not read the directions at all. You know how us guys don't like to read directions or ask for directions either. :)

    No problem Flyte.

If you actually read and followed their directions it wouldn’t work anyway because if you unzip to your directory, 2-folders are created instead of just the one you need, but you knew that! :p

Here’s more specifically what to do:

The path to the correct directory on your comp to drop the FliteTest unzipped model file into is a bit lengthy.

    Here’s what it looks like,

On my System 7 Ultimate operating system its:
C:, users, FlyByKnight22, My Documents, PhoenixRC, Downloaded, models, user-made, Airplanes.

The last folder called “Airplane” gets the FlitTest model folder, but only the 2nd folder that was unzipped, not the 1st if that makes sense to you.

Remember that when you unzip the file it creates 2-folders of the same name so you must go to the 2nd folder and drag that to your user model airplane files, otherwise it won’t work.
