  1. Finally some paint on the new wing , still has a little tipstall but at a very low speed. Fun warbird to fly. :)

  3. Couple flights for the PI P-40 Warhawk. End of flight 2 I thought was a low battery but not the case, I think that is our dead zone in that corner of the field. I think it cut out when I still had some up elevator input so it glided in not to bad, only bent the landing gear and atleast it didn't land in the muddy lake. ;)

This is a great plane to fly and looks brilliant in the air.
Jeff you may be able to finish the plans?

  7. Well other then my registers maybe .5mm to wide (cut on the inside of the lines rather then on the lines) and the contour of the wing where it fits the fuse and battery tray supports would need a little extra trimming and sanding for a nice fit the plans should be a go.

  11. LOL, well my modified plans from PI's original plans are sort of done but I had done them before I started playing in Rhino so they are no where near perfect as when Bimo does them. Bimo is the guy that has to go through all my notes and complete the plans , he also likes to build the plane so he can also complete the build instructions . It would be up to him if he wanted to release my plans.

    Cheers
    Jeff

    Hi Hami,
Yes cut out the optional piece at the end of the lower wing plate, less tip stall. The cf rod can go on the outside just doesn't look as pretty.

Those spacers are Depron along with the other pieces for the spar, the 2 plywood spar pieces are labeled. The spacers when the wing is folded they are to go between the lower and upper wing plate at the trailing edge of the lower creating a larger step .

For the elevator you are on the right trail. :) The reason I beveled the plate and not the control surface so you don't cut into the wire or glue. On the main wing do as you would normally do for beveling.
