I took the advice of you all - and did not regret it!

My (rookie) take on the HydroJet is a really fun plane when transitioning between the air and ground, with snow providing a smooth and forgiving surface for (frequent) rough landings. As I was re-learning my rc reflexes, it can be driven over the surface like a car which feels less intimidating that continually crashing your other park-jet.
In the air it is fine, but not nearly as responsive for loops/rolls and not quite as stable as the other trainer models I've tried (Su34). With the snow gone, got a little cocky, and couldn't quite get out of a loop fast enough and broke its neck. After many repairs, I think it is done.

Stuck a camera inside the empty front canopy, some nice video from the 'drivers' seat cruising over a frozen lake.

    “I think that’ll buff out . . . “

The videos I’ve seen of these little planes shows a remarkable increase in roll rate when the wings are trimmed. Maybe try that on your next one?

    Cool video. Fly safely.

The HJ is one of the best "all porpoise", lol, planes that you can ever build. It's a MUST rebuild for sure. Neat video.

I hope this year I'll be able to find a body of water to fly mine on. Touch and goes are fun on grass, but H2O has to be the best.

Looked like a ton of fun! That's what I call low level flying!

    Hey, our new overlords :D . @Boxermad84

Are you guys going to be offering the plans for this bird too? I need a good snow plane to distract me from spending all my time building the FRC F-22 and A-10 Mk2.
