Question about foam board from "dollar tree" .
The boards are covered by a thin layer of paper ,how do we glue around that ?

wnd711, the best option is to remove the paper- it peels off pretty easy or you can wet it first. Flite Test uses the stuff, and it will get you a quick build, but the problem with the paper on the board is that the paper can begin to release so that the glue joints are holding to the paper but the paper is separating. The real problem I have is I fly in the morning or evening when dew on the grass will cause the paper to warp. That's a real pain because you'll end up having to retrim your plane or the control surfaces and wings warp with each flight. If you take the paper off, you'll need to reinforce the DT foam because its pretty floppy. Have you looked at Model Plane Foam grade B? Much better, almost like depron in quality, but costs the same as DT.

Hi batish. Glad you could finish that Mig-29. If I'm not mistaken, there are few RC shops in Lahore. Don't know if they carry all electronics that fit with the plane. You should check it first.

Hope you could get it to fly soon.

Wanabe...is there a place other than the above address to get the grade B foam? DT foam is 1$ /sheet and the least expensive comparison in the states is nearly double the cost for grade B foam. Some places are nearly 5 times the cost? I might be figuring this wrong..if I am , please let me know as I am definitely for saving money on foam! thanx again.

Send $ to a friend who has a card and have the items purchased by him sent straight to you.

If you use Uhu Por, you can reactivate or thinner it down with benzine. I've allways some Por with Benzine in a small squeeze bottle, perfect to primer the foam before taping, that way the tape will never come lose ;)
