I have never flown with EDF s but they certainly help maintain sleek lines with jets especially like your recent "Bat Jet" design.

  3. It's not like they fly bad, they just use a ton more power to do the same thing you can do with a cheap motor and prop. They do sound cool. :)

  4. This one I will try to keep simple, almost old school of mainly just tabs and notches not a lot of score and fold.

  5. Just a little playing today. Slowly building the inner structure and doing the tabs and notches.

  7. Well it is now a set of plans, waiting on Staples to print them.

  8. Well it now has a rider, now to see if I can turn it into a decent 3D print. ;)

  14. Some progress. I did screw up a bit in my importing and exporting the plan files and I think I am at 80% of the original . It was suppose to have about a 29" ws and now it is at 24". If anything I used way less foam and if it doesn't work out I saved money. If it works and flies decent then I will redo the plans. ;) The motor mount will be the only piece I have to modify and enlarge.

  15. Oh, trying out that new glue on this guy that Scott found, the Craft Medley Premium Craft Glue. Kind of smells like the BSI glue, sets up pretty quick, definitely not flexible like the Foam Tac and UHU Por, pretty stringy but seems to hold good to the foam. Definitely you won't use it on the hinges but anywhere else should be good. I even glued in my cf strips with it so we will see how that goes. For $1.25 CA you can't go wrong.

I never had anything against Harley’s or those that ride them. I have quite a few buddies that own them. I think they look good but I never wanted one.

For me when it came to choosing a motorcycle it just always seemed that there were numerous other bikes out there that were more mechanically dependable, smoother riding, better running and for a lot less money.

Never could understand paying more and settling for less bike.

  17. Nice having the 3D printer, made a motor mount that fit my mistake. :)

Coming together, rough layout of where the seat and windshield go

KF4's are on, cut the hatch open. Temporary little tabs inside to hold the hatch up. The seat and windshield will be glued to it and be part of the hatch when done.

  20. Nice just being able to go in and modify or design something like these and 15 minutes later there it sits. :)
