cool, will keep that in mind. Not looking for simple builds, although nothing wrong with them. I like involved builds and looking to improve my build skills and learn new techniques. But I need to build a profile plane or 2, just to have the exp. But definitely looking for easy to fly as well, so will look into these. Thanks for the advice.

    Excellent

...and i too suffer many the same symptoms. Absorb myself into the more detail demanding aircraft. The rewards come from finally "getting there".

Look forward to your builds. .. keep us posted ?

I saw that, BadAxeFlyer, I hope you enjoy the builds! The Mosquito is an awesome looking and flying plane and the a10 almost looks scary coming at you! Just a note on the a10: think light right from the start of the build and you will be very happy with the results!

how about the batteries? that would best? between 750mAh and 850mAh (on 2S). What about higher Ratings? What about 3S? .... ain't it all lastly depends on the weight?
    (Setup: 2200 kv-2826 motor with 8x3.8 prop).
    thx

That depends on your motor. We've Desi this to incorporate a atandard parkjet motor like a mjv3, that would require a certain size battery to get proper cg. However, a indoor parkjet combo would require something less. I was using a blue wonder with a 500 2s, for example, but Jay was using the mjv3 / 750 2s. So, I'd say definitely start with your motor of choice then use the right battery for cg!

Oh, and a good sized cf tube to prevent wing flex! The one aspect of designing this plane to accept parkjet motors is the larger wingspan so the heavier you go the thicker the cf tube or rod needs to be. I used a couple 4x2mm tubes. Wing flex is no fun. Good luck!

    isn't 25C or 20C sufficient?
    setup would be:
    8x3.8 or 8030x3 prop
    2200kV-2826 motor
    about 800mAh/2S LiPo

(btw: i am using 2200mAh/3S/25C LiPos for my RCP F-18v3, FRCF F-16-mk1; 6x4prop, 2200kV-2826 motor)

If my math is correct, 20C would mean you can only draw 16A from a 800mAh 20C Battery (0.8A * 20 = 16) With 25C, you're looking at 20A output, and that's already stressing the battery. The motor you suggested will pull way more than that on a 8x3 prop, if it can even handle it (suggested prop is 7inch on a 2S, so you're over-propping it already).

Essentially, the smaller (in mAh) your battery gets, the more C-rating you need to get the same Amps out of it.

ok then i will go for 30C to be on the safe side. btw, i was just considering a 8x3.8 or 8030x3 prop because it's considered in post #1 as a suggestion for this plane, but anyhow, thanks for your expertise!

Well, got a very late start last night, as it was so nice for a change, the wife and I put the top down in the Mustang convertible, put the boxer in the back, and took a ride going nowhere. Then we hung out in the back yard for a while as well.

But, I gotta say, this is the first time I have been able to spray glue the entire printed sheet down to a foam board all at once. LOVE IT. So I got the sheet glued down, and the Canopy all cut out. I would say this will be done by the end of the weekend, but after pieces are cut out, it will stall while i paint. Plus I have a Patio dining set and chairs to assemble that got put off because of the rain last weekend. So, will be a fast build, but real life will get in the way a little bit. Really looking forward to this plane.
