You may be a little tail heavy yet ?... would be my first guess. Push the battery further towards the front of the nose. Don't worry if it's poking out a little in the front. I ended up right at the edge myself.

Yes, as Tom says, pushing battery forward helps. Are you on the cg mark? The one drawback of the f16 parkjet is that the prop wash gets split by the single stabilizer and the result is some turbulence. This turbulence causes wing rock also, so being soft on the throttle when doing high alpha helps, and flaps really dampen that too.

Good to see you got her flying Rotorhead. Excellent paint job, too!
    Couple of comments:
    (1) You might be better off with a headstrap for the GoPro, because you tend to follow the plane with your head rather than pointing your chest at it as you fly. It'll keep the plane in shot better.
    (2) Don't worry that the plane seems a bit far away in the video, you'll learn to fly it closer to yourself with practice. Did you switch the GoPro to narrow field of view? That will bring the image slightly closer.
    (3) As the guys said in the posts above, you might need to locate the battery forward more. Also, wing rock can occur when the air passing over the wing becomes too turbulent to adhere smoothly to the wing, usually at lower speed with the wing at a steep angle of attack. Your plane seemed to fly OK straight and level. Check your CG first, but If you find you're getting too slow with too much AoA and the wings start dancing, just drop the nose to regain some airspeed.
    Congrats on the the flight!
    John

Thanks Tom! I published another book last year, with all the attached promotion and lecture stuff that goes with a book release. There was no time for more important stuff like RC! I'm part way through building the new FRC F-22; build log to come soon.
    Cheers mate, John

Thanks for the quick response. Next is my second flight. I changed the elevator so that the hinge goes all the way to the outside edge and attached the extra forward portion to the fuselage. I also took someone's advise and changed the aileron control rod bends. I tried to put them as close to the servo and control horn as possible. That seemed to help. V2 will have 2 aileron servos that will be a more ridged mount. Attached is the video.

Any idea why the audio has that clicking?

GoPro: my wife bought me a head mount for my birthday but will not give up it to me till then (crazy lady). I also just left the raw video alone and published it. Trying to see what the difference is.

CG will be my next change for the next flight.

Rotorhead619, great flights! First, really good video quality, and the plane looks set up perfectly. Looked like it was effortless to fly. Really enjoyed watching!

I got 5 and 6 in today. I might go with the leading edge slats. Trying to fix the wing rock.

Rotorhead619, there is only so much you can do about wing rock since a lot of it comes from turbulence caused by the prop sash being abruptly split by the stabilizer. So, I've grown to accept a certain amount of it.

My Buddy Keith and I are building the F16 mk1 and built this yesterday in his garage. Added some 3mm depron to the top and bottom for looks. What do you all think? 20160229_021039914_iOS.jpg 20160229_021050678_iOS.jpg 20160229_021116683_iOS.jpg
