Hi! You can buy mixers that plug in between the esc and the rx and it will mix two channels on the plane, or if your radio can do it you can setup the mix via the radio. You need to mix rudder and throttle together either way.

One thing to note is a Throttle Cut switch when 'off' may leave 1 motor still 'live' on the rudder channel!!

Thanks everyone for the input. I probably should have looked into this a little more before taking on this project. I'll have to do some digging.

  5. That's the way mine are run, Y harness for both esc's and I only run a single battery but both motors off the same channel.

The TV setup though is now where you run 2 channels and a bunch of mixing in the tx.

I use the y harness method without diff thrust and give rudders good authority. But in June I flew Jay's diff thrust mig and he had it set up really nice - Almost felt like rudders. Either way is good especially since those rudders are huge on the mig!

Well the parts are on their way and I have been cutting out the parts today. There are so many parts to this plane. I can’t wait to start putting it together and see how it flys. I will be taking my time and making it super amazing though!!!!

Awesome, Rotorhead, we'll be looking forward to a nice walk around video (like your alpha jet one) when you are done!

I use a turnigy vtail/elevon mixer from $3,50 at hobbyking, this works very good .It mixes throtte and rudder.By adjusting the endpionts you mix the motorspeed of both motors and the rudderfunction.

That's a good tip, Johan, thank you! At first glance I thought you wrote "rudderfication" which was going to be my new favorite RC term :D. Rudderfunction is good too, though.

  15. I have the Dalprop T5045 , 3 blade, 5", 4.5 pitch, I tried the 4 blade of theirs with a 4.0 pitch , thrust was great but motors got warm quick.

Noted... and thank you for the tip.

I've been running basic 5x4 quad props. They work fine but I would like a little more push and am certain the power setup could handle the added load.

I didn't care for the howl of the typical 3 blade props and have had my eye on the dalprops.
