Jay had the idea once we decided to go twin prop on this one. The f22 does not lend itself to the type of aerobatics that the mig does. But to have twin 6 inch props on the mig means that the plane itself would need to be pretty large. So, Jay came up with a motor combo that does well on the 4-5 inch prop. Nice su47 kiko!

Thank you Greg, it's a real pleasure to fly FRCF Jets. They just get better and better..;)
Yes, that's right, I've taken some time to keep the weight down. With thinner foam. Balsa and thin 0.5 x 3mm carbon fiber strips. It pays back. The scale, 110%, also means that the weight is distributed on a larger wing surface. + new more efficient, lighter and powerful motors. A little pretty 1300 4s gives me +10 minutes of time in the air. Great!:)

Kiko, 110% scale is enough for two 6 " on the elevons.

I was a little pokey getting this one finished. I wanted to paint first this time around and avoid all the grass stain on white foam

.... and you've probably already figured it out too, yeah i like orange. It just works for my eye. I honestly do admire this plane and it fly's so comfortable at any speed.

She is a brilliant design Jay, you've definitely raised the bar with this one. I still need to place some brand name stickers and my numbers on there yet.

In service ... reporting for deployment but daaang she got cold and windy outside. It'll be a few days when the wind dies down. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

First flight ... finally a calm day on the weekend for a pleasant change so i decided to run with it, the leaves can wait

I did find it felt a slight nose heavy to my liking from the default COG. I'm one to normally run a little more on the side of tail heavy once I'm trimmed in anyway. Text book is a good balance to start from.

I also normally trim to a nice gentle glide just short of a wing stall. Once that feels good I'll start pushing her forward from there again.

Wow .. i can see that this plane will run crazy fast if you wanted to over power her for speed. I had setup more for optimal flight and battery efficiency. 8+ minute a flight on a 1800mah 3s 40c lipo.

2204 multirotor motors are a dime a dozen anymore and are incredibly efficient under load. It's simply a brilliant concept slanted to where the rc market is moving the most in anyway, race drones and the multirotor enthusiast. Their developments also play to our advantage.

An excellent ParkJet Jay !! you've honestly started something good here.

    Thank you sir.

Fastening down the canopy makes all the difference when trying to launch this plane. I have a habit of wanting to hold onto the craft from that area prior to tossing it out. You can see what i mean by that in the video. It's just how I'm comfortable holding onto it i guess.

My first build ... lol ... i would try to grab it by the canopy and the plane would fall to the ground while still holding onto the hatch.

as a sukhoi fan through and through it goes against the grain to build a mig lol ,but this does look really nice, the only problem seems to be the weight,im aheavy builder and the thought of a 32 inch plane @ 20 oz is a bit scarry.my mk2 su37 @ 30 inch is still 25 oz,so my question is how heavy could I go on a 3s setup before I loose the performance, just cant see why its so light .mery xmas.

It shouldn't matter to much, but I like to have them rotate in from the top.
