Getting back into flying again. Took the 80% Mig out for a test flight with the Gemfan 6 blade prop. These are multicopter blades...but they work well for this plane. No overheating, no battery drains...The 6x4 gives a little more punch out power...but are a lot louder. I think I will stick with this set up until I destroy it....

Nice Chip! Sounds like an EDF without the D! Good performance on that combo.

    Back to the note 7!!

Set up active canards mixed with elevons on three way switch.I noticed the nose would drop when I activated the canards,so I mixed in elevons. Now I need to figure out the amounts active on each switch. Thanks Airflow for help with the canards!

gotta throw my support in for this plane again...just built the Euro V5 and flew it..it is a good plane..but the 2.88 outclasses it in speed and maneuverability out of the box - built to spec for both planes. If you want a great handling and super aerobatic delta..this is the plane to build!

I just flew my 2.88 last week and the new Euro this week and I think I have to agree with you. Granted I only have one flight on the V5 and my CG was off so I need to get it tuned in and fly them back to back.

Well, that sounds good to me! I will say that we geared the mig 2.88 towards the more advanced pilot and left some of the instability of the real plane in there for maneuverability, whereas Dave and Shannon have produced one of the most stable and maneuverable RCPowers planes ever! Remember how the 2.88 came about, Dan? In our private convo you asked for a single wing plane that has alpha jet maneuverability and a parkjet look and layout? That's what we got in the 2.88. It's like the EF with twin stabilizers, close coupled canards and alpha jet MOJO. Now a good plane to start out with as a novice!

Goodbye Note 7 Hello S7 Edge!

  11. Hey Greg,

Wondering if you got a chance to build the twin 2.88?

Today I did a head comparison between the 2.88 and the new Eurofighter V5. It was very windy and in those conditions I`v got to say the mig out did the Eurofighter. The big difference has got to be the weight. I really tried to get the weight down on the new Eurofighter. This may have been a mistake as I find it is being blown around. On the other hand the Mig which is heavier handled it like a champ. These are both great planes. Next head to head needs to be in calm conditions to fill in the complete picture

On those impossible windy days the AlphaJet 2 is my goto bird. It pushes through all the buffeting like a run away bullet. On those awry days I tend to use the AJ as a warm up bird, tasting the air (so to speak) to know what to expect once up and running.

If I can't push the AJ through it ...I had just better go home

I still haven't built myself an AJ. It's on my list but I never seem to get to it.
