The nights are drawing in and dark at 9.30. I have been thinking about fitting lights, but I think for me it`s just another reason to have accidents:)

9.30! Not so bad anyway, I'm a little closer to the North Pole... than you are. The winter is horrible here. Dark until 9 in the morning and dark already 3 o'clock in the afternoon. It's dark on the way to work, and just as dark on the way back ...

Do as Greg suggests, mount LED's in your Ajet! It's very nice to have when the fall is upon us.:)
    Back in 2013 aug 20. Mk1 LED :)

Ok, time to glue on the 6x1mm coffee stirrers to stiffen the huge! stabilizers...

    What! weels in the sky...?

    Update "toe-in"

Time to glue on the Vertical stabilizers, the RPC style, I really love the stability of the MIG V3 and V4 and I'm really curious how this brilliant RCP idea will work on a plane like the already uber stable MiG 2.88. The angled vertical stabilizers, sort of toe-in.. like on cars.

A rectangular strip of pine wood for guiding.

    Uppdate

Right now I'm working with the strengthening of various parts.

    The vert. stab.
In order to provide more stability and rigidity to the stabilizers, I simply cut out triangular pieces out of the rudders The structure became significantly stiffer.

    Update
    Reinforcements. step 2.
The next step, to reinforce the area between the stabilizers.
a few coffee stirrers will work quite well instead of wrapping paper for rapid construction.

Yes Greg! They are really useful and fits perfectly with 6mm foam. Adhesives like Foam-tac and UHU works really well even on wood. Yes now it starts to become more common with wooden stirrers rather than those made of plastic.

Update Almost ready for a test run.

The war against the cursed stabilizers continues.
Motors moved somewhere between the original position and where I had them before. A square balsa stick along with some coffee stirrers will provide more stability to the enormous stabilizers...

The 110% scale plane weighs empty 8.3 Oz. And now presently 42 Oz. That's 2 oz less than the MiG 29 V4. The only difference is that this one has 2700kv NTM motors instead of the 2200kv.

It`s a small world : That Piston Head lager reminds me my brother takes his Holden HSV Maloo UTE to Sweden for the big V8 meeting there and Slingshot had a Holden UTE run into his house! A tenuous link I know but it`s there. He owns 3 of these six liter gas guzzlers, so he is doing his share for global warming.

Great! He really does a great job!;) Sure! Pistonhead is a pretty OK summer beer.

You mean the Power Big Meet in the city Vasteras, I guess? For those who do not know, the world's biggest power meet, a tradition that has been going on for 45 years, one of many events with American classics going on during the summer here in Sweden. 20 000 old American cars lined up on a grass field of 5 square kilometers.

Introduction. Fifth Gear: Sweden Power Meet

Friday and Saturday night cruise is the best part! During the night, the city is crowded of American cars in various condition and the party is going on through the night until sunrise. Cars in different condition ..., collector cars, ordinary hobby cars, as well as all red necks with their old wrecks. I have been there twice. 2009 and 2011.
You are welcome here any year, if you want to cruise around... I have a perfect cruiser for the purpose, with pretty comfortable seats. Sweden is the country in the world that has most American cars from the 50's and 60's per capita in the world.

One of all the videos of the meeting through the years. Frid/Saturday night cruise.

lol rednecks at the Statoil gas station...

    The people

    Burnouts, for everyone everywhere...

The nice car cruise, before the great parties begins during the nights.

Had a awesome flight with the mig 2.88 last night, I flew it like it was my last flight and the plane handled everything i could throw at it! Managed to get the flights in just before the storm crept in. Love this plane, especially now I have more power with the fp 2700kv motor!

Well, there comes the bad weather ... as promised... the bitter end of the warm and calm high pressure weather, it has already started to blow here ...:(
You were lucky to get time to fly before the battle started ... A wonderful flight Jay!
