I have no creative design skills in me, plus, I do not fully understand the dynamics of airplanes and flying. So design my own removable wing? I will pass. :)

Just strap it down on top to the luggage rack. A couple of bungee cords and we're off to the park.

Soft top convertible. No luggage rack. :)

I will figure something out eventually. I do want to build this plane. just on the back burner for now./

Perfect! Tie the plane to a tether from one headrest, It can "kite" to the field :)

An awesome thought,if it's on a tether, get somebody to drive and you can fly it to the field, could be a bit tricky at intersections and stop signs though :) Would certainly get some looks.

BadAxeFlyer, the wingspan of the highlander is only 38 in wide and the plane is very short. Turned sideways it easily fits in a trunk.

Well, I am basing it on the 39" wingspan Hobby king Hummer I am building. I have the air frame built, and its a few inches to big for my trunk, turned it all angles, and there is always a section of it laying that will prevent me from closing my trunk. And thats a flat profile plane. Take a similar size, ass a full fuse, and it will just be too bulky for my trunk.

It WILL probably fit in my wife's car's trunk, but its not often that that car is available for me to use. I used it once to go flying, because the FRC SBACH also would not fit into my trunk. Then I destroyed it because of the color scheme, so havent needed her auto again.

Here is my plane transporter. Just upgraded to the Superduty with cap and bedslide
I had about 15 planes in there when I went to Flite Fest last month. Plus Generator, Gas, Tools, Spare Parts, Building supplies. I should have taken a picture of it. I put a shelf in so I was stacked two high.

I have the same setup on a 4 door Silverado. My biggest problem is it's always loaded up with work junk.

...Not just good for finished planes, even when you have run out of Depron! There's room for a lot of full size sheets in there.;)

Work should never get in the way of our hobbies.. Oh wait without work we can't afford our hobbies. Luckily I don't use that truck for work. Towing my camper and carrying my toys.
