Picked up Highlander plans. But still working on building F-15 V5 airframe. So many projects so little time!

  9. Couple questions,

The flaps and ailerons are you hinging those before you fold the wing together?

The battery hatch, I know the one line is score slightly and cut later bit where does it hinge? The score line behind it is that suppose to be scored on the inside so it can fold down or just a cut line?

    Cheers

Flaps and ailerons yes... I hinged them first then continued with the fold.

The dotted line in question is a marker for where to place your ply for landing gear.

No... do not score there. The ply ends just short of the hatch line, where that dotted line is.

  11. No I know where the plywood is going it's the hatch itself that has me confused. Do have a picture by chance?

I am hinging the flaps and ailerons as we speak.

    Thanks Tom

I actually left the hatch off and the ply covers most of the area. But that's just me. Feel free to improvise. On a plane like this, the motor and esc you choose will determine battery placement and that will determine where you put the hatch. The landing gear pretty much have to be mounted in one place. Or, leave the hatch off until the landing gear ply is in place!

  14. Ok thanks Tom

The opening side is marked as a score and fold line and should be a cut line and that's what threw me off.

Finished. I had to run out of town for a few days but I did finally knock out the Highlander.

All that's left now is for me to trim her in.
