  1. Did you ever find the source of the smell?

What a great performance, Lars! The recessed battery tray is designed for the thickness of a 3s battery so 4s may need a lower battery tray. I think that is why it wants to be inverted. But, great flight! Hope you figure out the trouble. Probably the TGY motor begging for mercy :D

No, but the motor is 4 years old ESC as well, and they have gone through some trials ... 2 months in a treetop, among other things ... I will fly on with these old gadgets as long as they stick together.:)
Probably Greg, I will look at it when I'm back home. Yup, that old motor should already be dead now;)

OK! just finished the last video in the trilogy, from Sunday.
In addition to the crash the best flight with this plane so far. The reason, the COG.:)

Still smells... but the 4 year old motor and ESC seems to work on 3s for a while, I guess...?

This is addictive,:D it really came to life with the COG further back!

Another beautiful flight, Lars! I really liked your initial flights with 3s and without tv mount because the plane looked so light and nimble. This flight was like that but crazy maneuverable with the tv! I am working on a twin with two tv mounts However, I am not as good with inverted flying as you so I will be more restrained, haha. I'm watching that again.. .

Absolutely greg!" it flies wonderfully well without a TV mount. But since your first thought was to use a TV bracket, I already knew it would do well even with that, too. Greg, Don't wait too long with that twin ... I have the same thoughts myself! But I would like to see your plane in the air first, Is it a 150 scale?

Haha, I know what you mean! Flying and repair is also a part of the hobby!
    Take your time!

Yes Jeff, I've only passed that maneuver with my Russian planes before, so this is a good rating for the US Raptor!

Nice Video, but they are wrong about one thing.:) It does very well during inverted flights!

The F-22 wing with slats is drawn down by the pressure ... They are wrong about the inverted flight ...
Slats creates an overpressure on top of the wing (like KF2 or an ordinary Clark-Y airfoil) and creates negative lift, when upside down/inverted.

..And in this thread of course!

7pm No wind, back from work, must fly the F22!
The tests continue, switched to a very small 3s battery.
    It makes it tail heavy.
    Still Thrust Vectoring.
    Weight only 20.5oz
COG Now 2.5 " BH Stock.:) and WOW!

Thanks Jyy, I love that its design still retains some of the exciting trends to suddenly lose grip in the air for exciting 360 swing arounds, despite the vertical stabilizers are larger than they should be according to its scale. It's like taming a wild horse when flying this whild thing extremly tail heavy. You never know what the planes next move gonna be.

8pm FRC F22 ZT's...are useful stuff, saved my day:)

Thanks dollar$store!! for Zip ties of low quality, saving my plane and motor mounts.
from structural damage, when landing on the tail.:p
The wind would not give in, no choice, now loaded with a heavier 4s battery
to make the flight more comfortable in the wind. From 20.5 to 26.8oz RTF.

And the old TGY motor is now on its way to final rest..:(
