We'll the 4s took the weight over the top. Plenty of power too much weight if that makes sense. Going back to the 2200mAh 3s, she'll fly with that. I'll try to post some videos tomorrow of the short 4s flight.

Yup. Sometime one needs to go back to square one and then move on. I love the plane and I'll enjoy it with the 3s. Thanks Greg for your support and insight.

So Keith and finally got some good enough weather to maiden these 2 beautiful F22's and although we haven't got them flying in formation yet, (That is coming), we did get some great pics and a short video of Keith trimming one of them out.

Cant seem to get the video to work, sorry.

This should be the video link if I did it correctly.

Looks so good! Super smooth and plenty of wing loading to spare. Switched to HD video and it was even better, Kenneth! Haha. Do you know your weight? This plane can fly so slow!

  14. It looks very scale to watch!
The blue "wing decal" on the bottom really stands out...
    Nice work!

Thanks everyone. I have to give Keith a lot of the credit as well. He is very good at this. Between the 2 of us, we come up with some good stuff.

I'm building mine this week and am at the stage of laying out my electronics. I think I will have to mount all the servos and esc far back to get it to balance with a 2200. Anyone else having this issue.

Putting an extra little hatch in here for access to the receiver.

Jim, you should not have any issue with standard servo mounting and a 2200. That set up looks like it'll come out tail heavy. My testing with my set up (servos around cg, esc around cg) was good with a 2200 down to a 1800. You're saying that it was nose heavy with the 2200 and normal servo layout?

I need to add the upper skin but it looks fairly centered on the cg but it balances with the 2200 like in the first picture. Push rods and props will add a bit of weight at the back but not much.

I sat on the push rods and moved the servos around a bit. Put the prop on and moved the esc to get it to balance. Looks like the the esc is going towards the back. image.jpeg
