Nothing to complicated here, keeping it simple. [IMG][IMG]

We just had to post these pictures sent to us by Kenneth and his friend Keith from Texas. Don't know if they've been flown yet but seriously, who cares! These things look awesome standing still.

Get ready to receive requests for patterns of your skulls and thunderbird. Very nice work.

Okay everyone, here is the link to the Thunderbird Decals - They run about 40 bucks for the set. They are a little small for this plane, and we had to modify the decals to make them work around the servos and everything else. Also had the Lowes match the Decal color which were spot on. The vertical stabilizers were done freehand off of a template as the decal sheet was designed for an F16. The stars were done from just different star sheets that were painted with the matched paint from Lowes and applied. Also most of the red and blue stripes were also done with the matched paint as the decals were again to small. Also the thunderbird decal on the bottom was cut to fit the sections where it was cut and folded and where the wings meet. It was a fun build. Some of the other decals were taken from 6MMFyrc.com for their F22 and printed on decal paper along with some stencils that Keith used for the skull and crossbones.

Sorry this was so wordy, a lot to cover but wanted everyone to have the info. It was my second scratch build and a lot of fun.

Wow those look too good! Would be good to have those as the "show" planes. How could you crash that?

    Yeah, what he said !
You take the prize for most expensive "paint job"! Those decals do look beautiful, though. I'd Park that one on your shelf and build a less expensive one to fly

Hope to fly the Thunderbird Scheme and the F14 from 6MMFLYRC.com in the next week or two. Rainy and cold here now with high winds for the next few days.

It will definitely suck if we crash either of them.

Here are the F14's we built. View attachment 42357 View attachment 42357 View attachment 42357

Well I finally got my FRCFoamies F-22 Raptor in the air. She is heavy at just under 1000gr, so I'm using a NTM 28-36 2700kv motor and a 2200mAh 3s battery. She flies!!! She likes to fly tail heavy though. And as you can image she's a bit sluggish. I changed the cg to more level flight and she didn't like it at all. Next flight the 4s.

Wow, the plane, the flying and the scenery all look really good! And it looked pretty nimble even at 1000g! Loved the slow approach and light landing. Really shows the lift the f22 fuselage produces, doesn't it? Thanks for sharing your flight!
