Of course Greg I will, this is such a nice and durable bird to play around with! And it also flies great! straight outta the FRC box without any kind of airfoils.

    Haven't we been here before

I'll second that. ...move away from the mailbox. The plane really does fly very well with your touch Lars.

I saw the videos and HAD TO build one. Assembly starts tomorrow  All cutting and painting done today in about 3 hrs. Here's the mockup! (I really want an airbrush, spray cans and all that masking are no fun)

I mostly use 1000mah or 1300mah batteries in mine now. Even in the wind.

Great! Slats/Flaps and spoilers turns it into an excellent high alpha cruiser.

Looks really good, gibby! Thanks for building despite your busy schedule! I have a cheap airbrush that I haven't used yet. I hate practicing with stuff, I just want it done, so I stick with the rattle cans.

I thought it survived the Mailbox crash unharmed, but when I turned It around to wipe away some grass seeds I found this. A quite hard impact, like a shark bite.:)

    Update "More lift"

One last step to get maximum lift without slats and flaps, a 3D LERX surface.
To move forward after this, slats are necessary.

I got it right this time.... Built it out of Dollar Tree Foam board. Put the servos on top and used a 2700kv motor. She flew so good I had to stop before I broke something. She weighs in about 610gr. I flew it using a 1800mAh 3s battery to get the balance right. She does fly really Kool. As usual Thanks Jay and Greg, you to Newt and Airflow.

That looks great! And that weight isn't bad for dt foam .
I know what you mean about not wanting to wreck it . I've been trying to fly low and inverted but I keep chickening out at about 20 feet up.

Nice looking f16, sirskyhi! 1800 3s sounds about right for weight and balance and you still get a good flight time. Looks good too!

I have lots of power. I'm using a 6.3x3.15 prop. I can easily fly it on half throttle. It does take a hefty toss to get it flying though. Once in the air she goes.....

Yes, Super nice! With all (EDIT Oops! Except the rudder) control surfaces available!
Sure, it flies great! Do you have any video of it?
