Airflow, you are amazing. I think you could fly in a phone booth, what ever they are.....

    I like the comment....and you're right.

This would also make one think. ....when was the last I've even seen a phone booth.

Finally got around to the F-16 mk2 maiden. It Left my hand so easy and stable. I had a slight breeze but it flew like a champ. Unfortunately I have a bad ESC so I didn't have much power but it didn't need any.

I am running a 450 Zoom with Elevons, Ailerons (on switch) and Rudder. I didn't even have to trim it out!

Again I am very impressed with how fast of a build it was and how low to the ground it will fly along with some nice Slow Motion High Alpha.

Yeah Guys, it was a long time since I saw a phone booth... I miss the time when it was possible to use coins to make a call.
BTW.. Poor Superman :(... no place to change clothes anymore...

Well, it's finally built! Work has been crazy and is cutting into my hobby time.

I was fortunate to get to fly the prototype of this jet and was amazed at how much fun it was.
Well, after the maiden flight of my mk2 tonight I am even more amazed with this jet.
The fine tuning that went into the final plan is spot on.

For the maiden flight I had the rates set pretty tame but now they are cranked right up. Also, at Greg's suggestion I have mixed in flapperons and plan to check them out in the morning.

Beautiful job on that, Mark! Your fast and slow performance is perfect - great set up work! As you saw in Daves video, flaps will add a new level of stability in the slow flying! Thanks for posting this successful maiden!

OK, so have I mentioned how much fun this jet is?
Back at the field this morning to experiment with flaps and spoilers. Video will be ready later tonight.

In the meantime check thins out:

Really enjoying this jet so I decided to experiment with flaperons and spoilerons.
Shot some video of my experiment

Nice! With flaps activated, flight characteristics are similar to the F18 V3 (with the same configuration).

I never built the F18 but I did build the Mig29v3. I found the same thing - flaps down would make the nose drop and flaps up (spoilers) would pick the nose up. Very strange.
This F16 is so light weight that any change (flaps down or spoilers up) makes a very noticeable difference.

Nice Lars! That mailbox and power line can't move away from the plane, so maybe you should try to move the plane away from them! Haha. Looked pretty stable in high alpha with the airfoil wing, Lars. I always thought that the drag from an airfoil delta wing is too high. What was the straight line speed like?

Greg, Yes I know!;)Can not be on the field as long as the grass is wet. Pants becomes wet ...
It is a calculated rice to stand on the road, but this time it went quite well.
The speed at level flight seems to be similar to how it was before.
