Yep...tons of room now for CoG adjustment....somehow when I was done with it the battery is half under the lower deck and half out...room to go forward or back for different size Lipos...but I have more 1800's than any other battery...so this is perfect....

Hey that is looking good Dan! Silver tape looks not bad from this angle. Centered little battery is going to be nice I bet.

Yeah the battery and the big ESC are all center line..so should be no issues roll wise either way.

On the smaller planes the whole "center line" trick really works good.
I was able to fly my F-14 (no video yet due to rain) and it was so solid!
Very clean and stable at all times.
I did have the trim off, and all those rookie mistakes at first, but once I got it trimmed in I flew it until the battery was dead. Love this little plane.

    Hi,
Really interested in how you make your pushrods.
Like to get some details, it really difficult to get stiff metal rods locally.

For this I used the flexible pushrods and tubes from hobbyking....I make a z bend at one end...and then have the screw on adjusters on the servo end....I use metal pushrods when I can...but for CoG I needed more than their 12 inch length....so I went with this setup....

I can post links to the parts if you want...

Changed my canopy from silver tape to black marker....think it looks better now...

    Thanks JMD,
Hobbyking shipping to india is messy.
Just have a few questions so I can look for them locally.
What is the diameter of the metal wire and material.
What is theinner and outer diameters of the sleeve and material.

    Regards

The specs on hobbyking say 2mm outside diameter of the sleeve and 1mm inside diameter....and the wire cable is .8mm...hope that helps!

RCP and FRC will be the death of me... :D I've now gotta find time to build at least this Tomcat, the A-10, the SU-34, and work on the F-16 Mk2 and Mig-29 V1. There just aren't enough hours in the day or days in the week to do this and find time to fly! :D

Can't wait to get this beauty and in the air. :)

@JettaManDan Great looking Tomcat, I'd just watch out for that silver tape, being so shiny you might get a lot of glare as you bank the top towards yourself...

The glare from his head will naturally counter any incoming glare...therefore he has hawklike eyesight and always keeps proper orientation of his models at distances that us puny mortals envy
