Btw, do you have the battery under the canopy by any chance? If you check the planview (that thing that most people never look at ) you'll see where to position the battery. In the turtle deck!

That's what I was thinking, I guess it's OK to cut thru the wall at the end of compartment to move the battery back?

Ok I just looked at some pictures early in the forum showing the door in the rear of the fuselage. Now I get it. Thanks for waking me up.

Well I got the balance figured outon my F-15 MKII and took her for the maiden flight. Had a calm morning. And boy and I glad I built her. Thanks Greg and Jay. This plane flies great. Very little trim needed for the maiden. I wish I had video, but you guys know how she flies. Here's a few picture I took before the maiden.

Hi Haki88 nice job, but I have noticed you smoothed out the KF step on the wing. This is not a critiscism but that wants to be left as a step for the KF2 to work most efficiently. No doubt it will fly as it is and I hope you have many hours of fun building and flying your parkjets.
    All the best BB56

I have neglected my F15 since the successful maiden flight but I have reinstalled all the electronics this morning and charged my batteries. I am just waiting for the postman to deliver my new soldering iron, then I`m off to the flying field with the trusty FRC F15 for (I hope) some fun flying:) This is my only model so far with linked ailerons and elevons and the roll rate is unbelievable.
A quick edit. Dash it all, the postman did`nt turned up and the wind has started to blow. This is where I throw caution and my F15 to the wind and see`s what happens.:(

If any one tells you the only good thing to come out of Wales is the A5 trunk road, they are liars. After Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey there is the FRC Foamies F15 courtesy of Jay Rothwell and Greg Strysky. I have just come back from the flying field with my F15 still intact after flying it in conditions I would have not even considered flying the majority of my other planes in. Some time ago Newt informed me these planes would fly in 15mph winds, I thought maybe the ace pilots could do it but that aint me. Well I am wrong(again),in the wind the plane may tremble like a greyhound in the starting gate and wag it`s twin tails like a dog at dinner time but this puppy tracks likes it`s on rails.
On the way to the spot where I like to fly, I kept saying to myself "you`ll regret this" But I didnt and I am glad I chose to fly. I did whimp out a little using 35% expo and 50% low rate but even I have a sensible moment now and again. I kept the flying to loops, rolls, some harriers and some feeble high alpha,( due to the low rates) but mainly lazy circles and figure of eights and some slow low passes. This is a go to plane for breezy conditions. Nice one Jay and Greg:D

Haha, glad you like it bogusbandit! If you like it on a windy day, try it in zero wind, it's silky smooth!

Now I`m begining to wonder how they work smoothed out, maybe some brown paper? So it looks like you`ve been flying a KF smoothie all this time:)
