I have used a 6 x 5.5 prop on the 2826 motor before but i was under the impression that a 7 inch prop was to much for it,also have read of guy's useing a 6 x 3 prop.

Thanks Jimbo...Turnigy recommend a 7 x 3 prop with 3 cells in their instruction sheet just a matter of squeezing it into the F15, not much clearance...

I should have the F15 ready again by the weekend, if the weather holds I'll give it a go....I have a 7 x 5 on my SU30 with the same setup as on the F15 weighs 703g much better performance than with a 6 x 4, the F15 weighs in a 732g...only time will tell.

The F15 came out of the body shop today...:)...decided to fit the 7 x 5 APC prop which had a couple of millimeters clearance each side with the standard prop slot, I sanded a little off the sides just to make me feel a little more secure, also added a bit more up trim...

If the Windguru takes down the big fan for maintenance this weekend I will be able to have another test flight....:D

I really like the color scheme. ..looks real sharp.

I was just thinking "may need to try a tape job this way myself".

    Thanks for the support guys.....
Lysle......I like that idea, I use a Tx neck strap so I could probably set the throttle with my right hand anyway get the old right thumb on the stick and voila.....:)
Think I may just try it out on the SU30 first as it flies out of my hand like a tomahawk missile....

06h00 Monday, pried myself out of bed, swallowed a couple of "Make yourself feel better" flu pills light breeze from the NW...off to the field.....Tried a few left handed launches with the SU30 but not happy with them, my fellow model aviation friend Des said I'll launch the F15 you fly... :) After a few pre flight checks I ran the motor with the 7 X 5 prop up to somewhere near full, check out the video..hilarious, no shortage of power here....:D With both feet planted on the ground and both thumbs on the sticks...perfect..

Needed a bit more up trim and then a lot of fun...
    31 Elevator trim small.JPG
After landing which looked good in my books ;) noticed the right elevon had broken off after snagging on the grass...
    32 Broken Elevon small.JPG
Could do with a little help here....had to apply more elevator as she slowed down to keep the nose up, can I combat this with either moving the CG back a bit or tilting the motor up a bit, also think I will move the elevons up to the wing plate and remove the dog tooth...any suggestions?

I've done that to all my pj's eventually. Glued that protruded point in front of the hinge line directly to the airframe and then made one longer hinge the length of all that.

It always seemed to want to snag on the grass if you like to flare your landings.

All that beautiful work. That crash depressed me, such a shame. And that is why I have the crummiest paint jobs on the flying field.
