    Turnigy 35-48/4 1100kv's.
I'm keeping the original props (12x6x3) on 3s.
Not that powerful really, only 910w a piece!

Installed the new motors this morning and gave them their first run.

945w at 89a for the pair (approx 470w 45a per motor).
    Turnigy 3s 4000mah 40C battery

    945watts!!!! Yikes!!

On the plus side, if you thought it sounded great on the original motors, just wait until you hear these beasts :D

You'll notice in the video of the new motors that there has been a liberal amount of filler applied to the Mossie. I decided to go for as scale looking as I could possibly get so I've now filled all the fold lines and sanded them smooth. I've also profiled the leading edge of the wings to more of an aerofoil shape. The whole model has now had a coat of varnish to seal the foam and once dry, it'll be ready for paint. I'm slightly annoyed that the build has taken so much longer than I first planned but I'm so glad that I've spent the time on it. I'm really looking forward to getting the paint on and making it look more like a proper plane

I went the opposite direction from CeeKay, 3/4 size with a pair of 2204-1400kv for power.

That one will look cute, haha! At that size it'll still have enough lift with the airfoil wing. I wonder if you'll have a little trouble getting the nose to fit because of the depron thickness? I'd be curious. But, It'll be a fun little plane for sure!

I'm using 4.5mm board so the plans scale perfect.

I was toying with doing a 50% version out of 3mm Depron. Do you think the wing would support it?

As long as you can lighten the power systems enough it should fly well! I have the park zone micro mosquito and it flies well!
