Very nice, CeeKay! She did an excellent job filming. Great job to her!! Looked very scale and even sounded real too.

Thanks. I'm very very pleased with the way it turned out. Can't wait to see it finished properly.

It felt great. I had it on 60% rates with 40% expo just to get the feel of it and it was very stable. Checked out the stall characteristics and found that it tip-stalls and then drops the nose to the vertical. Easy to recover from that though. It needs power on approach until the last moment.

All-in-all, a very scale flyer. Over the next few flights I will make more use of the rudder in the turns and try flying with full rates.

Beautiful, CeeKay. Very nice job! This plane is designed to use the rudder for turning and you'll find you'll have no nose drop in turns. In fact, I was flying with rudder and elevator just fine. It'll feel totally different turning with the rudder!

I know what you mean. I fly my original Mossie with rudder mixed in and it handles beautifully. I left out any mixing for the maiden just to get a feel for her.

I've never done a dual prop but I think this winter I'll have to build this! Looks great!

Here's a different video of the maiden. Shows the handling a bit better.

New motors ordered. A pair of Turnigy 35-48 1100kv and a pair of 60a ESC's to go with them. This should solve the overheating problem and give me a bit more throttle response.

Found some photos that my daughter took during the maiden flight. They're a bit grainy but it kind of gives that feel of sneaked photos of old Russian test flights

Hope you guys don't mind me bombarding the forum with photos of my project.

    Thanks for the great comments.

The video cut off before the landing so I'll make sure and get it on film next time.

The landing was more of an "arrival" as I throttled back a little early and just made the runway. It was technically classed as a "Heavy" landing but I much prefer the term "undercarriage integrity check".

I think I heard that there is one being rebuilt in Windsor Ontario. Lots of guys in Windsor with that kinda skill.

Finished reading 'Mosquito-The Original Multi-Role Combat Aircraft' by Graham M. Simons, available on Kindle, loads of original photos of the original Mossies and the developments of Mossies as fighters, fighter-bombers, precision bombers,photo-recon, weather and bomber pathfinders, nightfighters, ground attack, even carrier use ......amazingly versatile plane....The Wooden Wonder was made with ply/balsa/ply sandwich......easy to repair / modify, just like a foamie! ~~~~~H
