    Ok JohnFromOz,
I'm getting close to being ready to setup the Orange RX8 receiver for V-tails like I did the Devo awhile back. Like you, I am also considering this V-tail setup on my Hornet.

What switch did you have yours set on?

I will also have a gun camera setup on the Guppy in the nose on a switch in the DX8.

We are getting ready to do a fly in at our Field.
I will be flying the X-32 and my pardners will be flying chase with my F-35 and 125% scale FA-18V4 when it gets finished.

Should be a lot of fun.

We got so many dang planes to take I almost need a covered trailer.

Yes Ian, it takes almost no diesel, one single tank of diesel is often enough (at a cruising speed of 5 knots) for the whole summer season.:)

That is not the case with our gas-guzzling Sea Ray, powered by a 7.4L/454 Mercruiser Bravo three (without fuel injection lol...), which makes it even more hostile to wallets...:(

Absolutely, you should have one! there are still plenty of these old workhorses that have survived over the years.

    Even in the US.

I often looked at the Guppy and thought, just a nip here and a tuck there and a pair of floats on the wings and this little puppy could go down the canal:)

This is just so great! I love how you're encouraging them to learn and grow. They'll be stronger, smarter and more confident thanks to you!

And flowers on a MiG is very acceptable ;).

Breanna is 4 and does most if not all of her flying with Paw Paw in the simulater and she flys fairly well with fixed wing, helicopters not so good.
Reagan also flys fairly well in the simulater at age 3.
They love airplanes and flying with Grandfather.

    Great Idea BB56,
Just close in and tighten up the nose a little, seal off the back, maybe squeeze a small v-hull in the bottom, loose the twin rudders and BINGO, you got a SEA DART!

Just what I was thought. It would struggle for air so I would propose raising the motor.

Maybe we could create an inlet and outlet tube for 6x3 or 6x4 prop but not use a real EDF.

An EDF mounted on top of the fuse would do would `nt it?
Wait a minute, May be a tail mounted motor like the Polaris?
I have too much on the go at the minute to play with it but I did download some new plans last nite.

An intake Something similar to the intake of the magnificent British saunders roe sr a/1.
An intake large enough to house a 2200kv motor pushing a 6x4 prop. That might not be feasible to do without using a true EDF, which was something I wanted to try and stay away from. Still, I think the Guppy might be able to do this.

You must have been reading my mind I was going to propose an intake in the cockpit like the Saunder Roe S/R 1 but I didnt think any one would know what the S/R1 was:)
Eric "Winkle" Brown said it was a very stable and well handling jet.
If I can do this to a Bixler2 I`m sure I could graft one on a Guppy

Thanks. Haven't flown the X-32 in a while. Need to get it back in the air again.

Pulled out the old X-32 Guppy from the hangar. I was not really happy the way it flew in it's original layout. I came across the X-32 Remix videos, so I thought I'd give my X-32 a makeover. Too wet outside right now to give it a new maiden, but soon however. 20151119_175705_HDR~2.jpg 20151119_173128.jpg
