Thanks Jay. The orange tape is a bit too translucent for use on the grey depron, the model doesn't look as bright as the first one did.
looking forward to getting it flying soon.

A second layer should make it pop.

Very nice CeeKay. ..I like that look even if the orange lost a touch of brilliance. It still works.

You've created that retail, purchased off the shelf look. I like it. :)

    Thanks Tom.
At the rate I'm building at the moment, it feels like a production line!

    F1,
Thank you for posting that video.
Looks like it flys nice on V-Tails (and ailerons?)
Not exactly sure what the rudder control surfaces are doing in accordance with TX stick inputs when V-Tail configured versus standard rudder setup. I need to look at that a little more so I understand it better.

    Gotcha Airflow,
I am going to reconfigure the X-32 to V-tail and ailerons as suggested by F1 and JettaManDan before the maiden flight. Gonna crank up my sim and look at V-Tail rudder movements and fly a V-Tail model to get the feel of flying one. Might help with public relations while flying,.. INVERTED!

Flybyknight, if you watch our promo, at 1:50 I explain the vtails.... On elevator input both rudders pull in and out...

yeah this needs to be V-Tails or the aileron/elevons need huge movement....just found it would flop over with elevons...i may post the video of it flying on elevons anyway to show what not to do lol

    JettaManDan,
    Thank you for that post.
It definitely is a completely different bird on Elevons versus V-Tail. At higher speeds it looked ok but at the lower end it appeared to have less control as you described in your earlier post. Looked like it was doing some bouncing around. How much of that was the wind Ya think versus the ELEVON controls? These videos are very helpful in illustrating how and why the plane is setup a certain way. I find these examples of different control setups to be of great benefit.

It was a combo of the wind and the controls...this plane is actually F1's prototype...I went to see him a week ago and he gave it to me to try out...he designed it as a v-tail setup...so the ailerons didn't have a ton of control throw....and didn't work as elevons well. They are also not in the prop wash at all so low speed handling is not great....as you can see it will fly on that setup...but no aerobatics are possible. I will be re-flying it at a later data as a v-tail setup to see the difference...

Great video. It looks like it was a bit windy though. Other than that great flying. Can't wait to get mine in the air. Waiting on good weather.
