Just reading through this forum and seeing the different control setups that everyone went for.
What's the best setup: Elevon & Rudder or Aileron & V-Tail?

CeeKay, the rudders are excellent on this, so I would go for elevons and rudders, or elevons and vtails. Ailerons and vtails works, but with less pitch authority.

    Thanks Greg.
I'll go for elevon and rudder first and see how I get on. Plus point of that is that I can drop to a 4ch rx :)

Finished most of the build this afternoon. Only the control rods to install and then fill the seams and sand prior to painting.

I decided to mount the ESC in the top of the air intake for better cooling.

    Setup: 4x HXT900 servo, HK Air 35A ESC, 6x4 prop, Turnigy D2826/6 2200kv motor, FrSky 4ch rx, 3s 1800mah LiPo.

First time I've used white depron. Found it to be more rigid than the grey. Unfortunately The Guppy Maiden canceled this weekend, strong winds made it all impossible.

Took a trip down to the beach with Sarah, Very windy, the waves breaking out at the sandbar.

Okay here's what you do. ..it's mid week and daang I wanna fly right now.

Herd the kids to the middle of the room. .. flip the crib over them and set some heavy books on top of that. There's only three so they should all fit.

Now your good for at least one lipo run after that right?

Tom, pure genius! Put the baby monitor on them so you can say they are being supervised

Then you could call it "baby on board fpv".

Cool ..problem solved. Now Dan can go fly this week. :)

    Hey great build man!
My personal favorite was "Elevons and V-tail".
Elevons and rudders would be my second.
Do have the rudder throws on LOW (10-20 degrees) at least at first.

Did u all know that there's over *160* species of fresh water and salt water guppies around the world? Wow huh. I hope my few pics of just a few beautiful specimens of them, inspire u all as they did me for my paint theme. Cheers, JB.:) ps. I also used my hot glue to create "Scales" over ALLLL its surfaces, which acted as a two fold purpose, one for looks and two for added strength, bc meshed together as they ate layered one row intertwined and behind each other, they form a spiderweb affect, thus adding strength, durability and flexibility ALLLL at the same time, with only adding 8g, from 2 x 4g mini glue sticks worth of glue. I knowwww its looks rough some and a lot heavier then it is, but that's some of my point;);) Hope u try it yourselves sometime, meaning use ur hot glue for extra strength, durability and flexibility....on ur vertical rudders side panels and ur noses and wing tips etc, and bellies, bc it Does help, with minimum added weight, versus several carbon rods, which after glued all the way down, to hold them in place, weighs 2-3xs the weight of the mesh webbing hot glue can do for u. Just a suggestion and my Two Cents. Hope it helps and hope at least some of u, try and get outside the box some, and try it. I promise u that u will Not be dissappointed with the results, plus the first time u LawnDart it in, whichever build it be, u will Thank me, if u have done what I suggested here. Enjoy and fly amap....plz...bc, the =\SKYs the LIMIT/= AMEN? AMEN.
