Has anyone tried an edf version of this with 70mm edfs?

I am back again and it is ready for its test flight and maiden. Weighs about 1530g with battery runs off of 2x turnigy plush 60 amp speed controllers as well as 2 720watt turnigy edf motors capable of producing 1200g of thrust each and a cheap 70mm edf and housing. It has a 5.2Ah 3s battery in the nose. Hopefully this baby will fly. This is my second scratch build and because I am a poor college student I had to use school store foam board because it was cheapest. But it is very sturdy.

Looks great, Stratton! At about 54 oz I would recommend having someone throw it for you at launch to get the airfoil working ASAP. Good luck!

I was thinking that same thing but the engines should be powerful enough for a vertical take off maiden hopefully soon once the ground drys

I paid for the plans a while ago and I wanted to download the build pics as it's time to start building it. When I click on the build pics above it takes me to google drive. I have the app but I can't seem to view them. Any suggestions?

Kindly try to use browser (chrome, firefox or latest IE browser) from your computer. It consists of 75 pics which could be slow when having non-broadband network. Be patient when it's loading the pics with the browser. Tried with both Firefox and Chrome and they both worked like a charm.

I was wondering if anyone could provide a link to where you can find some of the insignias that you are using for you A10's. I am just about done construction of mine and would like to add some decals to it. Did Uoy guys create you own, or is there a site that these can be obtained. Any help would be great. Thanks

I've downloaded all the sims and been flying them all. Lots of fun when its -12 and 50km winds like it has been here this week.

Excellent, we tried to make them as close to the real thing (foamie) as possible. The A10 will stall in a tight loop of if you get to slow, you have to fly it smooth!

I've spent my Christmas day working on my A-10 Warthog and am finished but for a little more gap filling and paint. It was a pretty hard build and took me over a week off and on to complete. An awesome design by the FRCFoamies crew! It has everything I like in a plane, rear mounted motor, cambered airfoil wing and scale looks. I went easy on the hot glue and used Foam Cure in some places and the AUW came in at 26.1 oz. or 740g. 3s 2200 bat, Turnigy 2826 2200 motor, 30A esc, 4 9g servos. I carved out the nose cone from balsa and glued in 1.5 oz. of lead to achieve C.G. at the wing spar. I also cut out the bulkhead at the front of the canopy and slid the battery almost 2 inches forward to help get the C.G. without adding more lead.

To Jay or Greg, I just got the Phoenix 5.5 Simulator and downloaded the free models but the A-10 wasn't in the package. Can you please send me the file for it? I'd love to fly it in the sim first.

Nice build! That battery mod is the ticket too.
