Haven't got anywhere near flight testing yet. I haven't weighed them yet but they're very light. I don't expect the complete set weigh more than a few grams

Red ones weigh at most 2g each. Smaller ones are 1g each. Total load out will be no more than 30g

How much clearance to the ground do you have to land in grass/hard surface if one or of them hangs up?
Ordered my two flour bombs for my A-10 that I am building. Use to put a cone in the flying field and see how close you can get with a Das Ugly Stik. My son always beat me out!!!

They are fixed so no need to worry about hang-ups. On the wings, they don't protrude lower than the wheel pods and I'll be adding some skids to raise the aircraft off the ground so that the fuselage pylons are clear too.

They're little magnetic switches to release/energize a tiny electromagnet.

You can run them from a rx channel port and program on/off switches to do little things.

    Now look what you've done!

I wasn't going to give that idea another thought until you posted this. Are there specific types of mag switch you've looked at/used before?

I've not used them but have seen where others had. They've made them from servo parts even.

The biggest issue you'll have doing this here is. ..you adding a bunch more weight to the frame.

You had mentioned an over scale version. .and you may be right in that respect.

Wouldn't be fitting them on this one, you're right about the weight. I'll put the idea in the "to do at some point" file

Going to be a few weeks away I'm afraid. Not much building time available at the moment. Hoping to have it completed by the end of June though.

Cap'n Crunch ready for tomorrow. Currently on 2200 kv with 6x4. A little laggy. Should I flip to a 2700 with a 6x3?
    And.....go!

I'm about to start building my A10. Are there build instructions anywhere or just the build pics? Just want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Ringo, this is actually a pretty easy build. The pics are all you should need. As we always mention though, this is not a beginner build, but if you've done a few other score and fold planes you should be fine. The lighter the better. If you think light and strong from the beginning you'll be good. We're at 26/27 oz all up with 2200 3s. If you build it heavy thinking that you can put a large motor on it, remember that any weight you put on the back needs to be balanced out up front. Check in here if you have any questions!

Jay, Greg. Welldone! FRCFoamies score-n-fold has gone where it couldn't be imagined before.

I love the A-10! It took me 4 days since cutting process up until now yet it's not finished. I love the details. With everything in place, tomorrow, I will have it painted.

I'm using UHU por combined with hot glue to keep the weight low because I expected it to have extended 18AWG cables from the motor to ESC. I'm also adding bottom hatch later on, to place the ESC exactly below the center wing base panel where it has NACA ducts on the lower body panel to cool it down.
