  2. I say if you use 4 servos on them I think the rolls would be better, a lil birdy told me. So

4s cuz there's no tooling around

    Yes, that's the plan. I have 4x4 on my f-18 v4 and it's deadly!

If you check Jay's last flight, Hes got elevons and alierons. Is that what you mean? You would not want the ailerons on an elevator mix!

Yes F1, I meant elevons/ailerons. Just decided to go conventional set up and spent an hour figuring a good way to link the two elevators. Used a cf rod and it seems good Thanks for all the input guys! This forum's great.

    Hi Jay and Greg,
need a bit of advise on which motor and prop to use on my a-10
just finished build and the weight has come out to 28.85oz with a 2200 lipo ,had to add .90oz of weight into nose for cg.I have a F08541 SunnySky A2208-2600KV motor on and a 6 x 4 prop .Any advise would be a great help. Getting ready for paint had this in mind a10pean.jpg

Good luck with the finishing touches! The best hope for that motor is a 6x3 prop which maxes out at almost 27 oz. The 6x4 would raise amps and produce less thrust. That'll be less than 1:1 thrust to weight ratio but it should fly ok scale meaning no vertical performance.

I like that paint scheme, in fact I almost went that route. But the facts are, I had the grey
spray cans and was to cheap and lazy to head out to purchase more paint.

If I use a 2200 motor and 6x4 apc would it be a better thrust ratio
or NtM 1350motor and a 7x5x3 or any other combination for that flying weight sorry for being a pain

The 2200 on 6x4 is almost as much thrust as the 2600, but the 2600 is lighter so that's a plus! That NTM would need to be on an 8 inch prop or 7 inch 4s to get more thrust. But the NTM is heavier so you would need to add ballast on the nose! I'd say give the 3600 a shot on a 6x3!

After looking at the Thunderbolt on the A10 for a while I decided the 6mm Yellow stripes were much too wide and pulled them off together with some paint and even bits of Depron, why do some things stick really well when you don't want them to?:( After some more filling, sanding & painting I got it back to the same stage I was a few days ago. Took out my 6mm wide yellow tape and sliced it down the middle Voila...3mm wide pinstripe tape, here's the result..........:)

Wow, it does look better, Barry, but my eyes would appreciate the 6mm wide yellow in the air!
