I downloaded the new Aerofly 7 simulator that now has several new biplanes. All this time I thought it was my build with the KF4s! I flew the biplanes in Aerofly and they fly just like mine! This is my first biplane, I had no idea they flew so differently.

Yes, sgmoran, the biplane is different! My beast at 30 inches and the mini crack Pitts at 20 inches have exactly the same feel. You have to use every stick, don't you? Haha. I wish I had an indoor area to fly, since I think this plane is really good practice!

This plane is teaching me how to use that stick on the left!

I finally have tamed the Beast. Three great flights today. I updated my Aerofly RC and practiced with the bipes. They fly so differently from my other planes. I dialed in the OrangeRX RX3S stabilizer, chopped a couple of inches off the wings, added aileron/rudder mix. I am having a blast with this plane. The RX3S makes you like a pro doing basic 3D. Forget the Guardian, for $25 the RX3S is a steal.

My teenage son is not very reliable. Perhaps I'll take my GoPro on my ski helmet, I might get some funny looks!

Couldn't wait any longer to maiden my 100% Beastie. Winds were pretty strong but what else is new. I had to wait until the guys packed up and left the flying field so I wouldn't kill anyone!
I really like this plane and can't wait to try it in < 10mph wind.
Constructed out of DT foamboard. Emax CF2822 1200KV motor. 10 x 3.8 sf prop
    1000 mah 3S
I put a HK 3 axis stabilizer on as an after thought to help me in the heavy wind. It is on a switch so I can activate it when I want. It really tamed her down in the big gusts but was counter productive for any acrobatic flying. Sort of a "safety net".
This is a very fun and stable flying plane. Never gave me any worries.
Hope more of you will give it a try. Thanks Jay and Greg!

Thanks. I really liked your Beast paint job, so I just sort of copied it a little.

Took the Beast out today. Experimented with props. Ended up with a 10x6 e prop. It was just right. Hovering, knife edge, torque rolls. Very pleased with this - can't imagine how much better it would be in Depron or epp or mpf instead of dtfoam.

Finally destroyed Beast number one.... so here is a short video of number two. Added cross braces from fuse to wing and went a little lighter with the build.

Took the Beast out again. I think this is the second or third time I've flown it. I take it with me, but it is usually too windy to risk it. I really like the way this flies. Slow and stable. A smart left stick is a must...I'm slowly getting there. The bright green paint really helps it "pop" for orientation....
