That was a great flight, maestro! You are right, no wind! But it is a blast to fly. I want to find an indoor location to fly since there are only a handful of days that are calm. What motor/prop do you have?

    The motor is a hextronic 24gr 1400kv for 2s Lipos with a 8x4 prop

It was something completly to fly compared to everything I have flown so far.

But bring something different meant it was a challenge and I guess I like these challenges!!

hm ... this 3D aircraft seems interesting:), has anyone tried using a symmetric airfoil KF4 (6/6/6mm Depron) or KF3,5. 6mm top 3 mm bottom.?

I had another look and now realize the level of skill it needs to be flown like that and have experienced how much fun it is.

    I'll start writing....

Hmm, first time ever flying a 3D plane and immediately going into a hover over water, I think you're just showing off here Maestro!

Well, after that maiden flight gofpv finally finished his 3d beast and on last Sunday there was zero wind.

We finally to fly this funky plane together..

Look for the near crash in water at the beginning and gofpv in the end!

    Enjoy

Yeah they are sure cool! it tkaes some getting used to flying like this using so much rudder but the tricks and folly it can do is so much fun.

Also it somehow does not crash!, when i cut power it just stops and start floating like a leaf.

018.jpg 025.jpg 027.jpg Decided to build a FRCFoamies 3D Beast to fly at our indoor flying get togethers this winter.
Took F1's advice and built it at 80% size for indoor flying.
Built out of DTF board and hot glue . Quick and dirty.
    All up weight is 10.oz with a 800 mah 3.cell. and 9oz. with a 500mah 2 cell.
    Blue wonder motor 1500 Kv.
Video tomorrow if all goes well.
