Take 2. Winds 11 knots gusting 13. Not the best conditions for sure lol. Still, focusing on using rudder rudder rudder, I managed to get a half dozen flights in before I nosed her in. Again :)

I do love a challenge. And its readily apparent when you fly this beast just how much fun and 'awesome' it can be.

So i cut out the plans last night, really fast and easy cutting, think it was 45 min. With some coffee time.

    Did a quick test fit

When you are looking for other things to do with the bipe, add a motel coffee cup glued to thick paper on top(put 2 toothpicks in front LE and 1 on rear with 2 rubber bands, get a plastic Easter egg(2 pennies inside) and practice "Can you hit yourself" or let kids retrieve it?

After that, try 12" (use grocery plastic bag) parachute and tape 4 14" thread with small lead shot and release from cup up real high. In summer, the thermals will extend your parachute time or on occasions, will thermal up and disappear in the distance.
Then try landing upside down with the cup or as you get better, just take the cup off.

That last one i only testfitted I gave to my friend. Now months later I have cut out my own and glued it together this afternoon in 1 1/2. Super fast easy build!

Just glued the motor on and gonna install the servos tomorrow.

Going with four servos. Putting the aeleron servos on the bottom wing like in jays video and the rear servos all the way in the back.

I tried to balance it out and it appears up get the cog right this way.

    Maiden video will come !!!

Hi ish, I think you are in the wrong thread but here is you're answer.

You're question indicates you are a beginner.

You should setup you're F-35 elevons only, so only 2 servos needed.
If you're esc has a build in bec (looks at the specs) you are good and do not need an external bec.

If you start using 6 or more servos or you're esc does not have a build in bec you would need one.

Well the maiden we t well I guess!? I am in no way a 3d pilot, that is horribly obvious.

The plane flies amazing I think, but it is a 3d plane and my skills were tested just keeping it in the for the first minute.

Then I got some down trim in and got the hang of using rudder to steer and try and forget the banking with aelerons.
It is really fun! Very hard and difficult but really fun, did some crazy stuff any plane I have could never do, some really nice controlled turns some strange manouvers which might have cool 3d names but I was just trying to stay in the air..

If I would edit the video of my maiden it would probably amaze people and they might think I am a great pilot.

So the truth will be shown! Maiden uncut and uncensored!!

Uploading now...online in a couple of hours..

Thanks jay for this great design!!

We speak Dutch. It sounds a bit like german. But it is not.

I think this plane is for really calm weather so no wind ..
But i will definitly be practicing with it!
