This is really helpful to know RC... We can reword our terms on the next planes to make the printing process easier for you guys.

I'm thinking it says something like "Hey Staples! Just print the damn plans!" Signed, RCPowers

She says most employees don't care, but she's worried about losing her job. Which could be why nobody ever questioned my print requests before. They're just doing their job to protect intellectual property. Thanks for all the work you do in designing/testing so that when we get the final product, we know it's gonna work!

That's great RC... Ya they have probably been burned before when people print stuff that is copyrighted. I could imagine it happens more and more these days.

So I went ahead and moved the copyright and terms information to the 1st page on your Tiled plans. That way they won't see the huge copyright and terms and get confused and stop your prints from getting done. Hope that helps everyone get their prints easier.

If you guys have any further troubles, just let us know so we can make the process smoother.

Marshall, I'm also dependent on good color contrast to keep orientation and I've found that leaving the bottom white works best for me. The bottom remains in the shadows for most of the flight so any color you put on the bottom gets darker. I've got a couple camo planes with white bottoms and there's no issues with orientation. Plus, there's a flicker when you roll the plane-dark-white-dark-white that my brain now subconsciously sees so that it's very easy to come out of the roll right side up. That, and setting a pattern that points forward works for me:

These yellow accents point forward and help a lot.
And here's my camo su34 which has a black caanopy/nose to point forward and white bottom for up/down orientation:

Not much remains :) Time for the valves and some temporary reinforcements on the tail section as long as I run it stock, on one motor.

I put the rudder on the nose and it DOES NOT work better, it just looks like a funny looking dinosaur. I thought, more leverage, super light nose, it should turn better... nope, it seems that having the rudder closer to the center works better, kinda like a fulcrum point? I don't know, I learned something I am just not sure what it is. I am taking it out and covering the holes with tape. It was fun! My loops were on spot tho, super big round loops having that fin in the front and just enough yaw control to keep it straight.

Side note: anyone wanting to run led lights or anything fun or unique like me, I just cut a whole in the nose, held it upright and the wires fell straight down with no problem.

Sounds simple and very workable! ... I'll try the all white bottom with distinguishable markings on the top with my next plane.

Rendering in progress... ETA Video online, +/- 30min

Until then, some pictures of my setup.

The plane is not optimized for speed, rather I go for lift.
Both the slats and flaps are glued down at 25-30 degrees.

The small 1000mAh battery gives me a bit of trouble with the COG 10mm behind the RCP COG mark.
Anyway, it does not seem to affect how it flies.:)
