This is the scheme I wanted to try on my FT Viggen, but didn't have very good luck getting the tape down... I just ended up painting it all blue with yellow accents (kinda like the Blue Angels). This would be an awesome scheme if I could pull it off though.

Raptor, that is a very cool paint scheme. I was all prepared to do my first plane like that, had almost all taped off and then a good friend of mine and a veteran RC pilot told me it would be an awesome looking plane but be prepared to keep it as shelf queen cause it would be extremely hard to fly and keep it's orientation true. So he talked me out of it and now I understand why ... unless I have some contrasting color scheme on the bottom/top not to mention with the sky, I loose the plane's prospective very easily. But I'm still a newbie so maybe some day.

This is so true! We still to this day will keep our tops colorful or painted and then leave the bottom of the planes white. Like this!

    Hey, Dave and Fingers,
Love the paint on the -15. Simple, elegant and easy to orient. Nice, quick video, too--good tips useful for any build.
    Thanks and fly safely,
    SL

Never had an issue with Staples printing the plans before. But now they won't print without this completed release form from the copyright owners, ie RC Powers. Can someone, Dave or Shannon help. They want it emailed back to them.
    -----------------------------------------------
Attached is our copyright release form please have RCP powers fill this out giving us the right to print you once its filled out and emailed back directly from RCP Powers we will proceed with your order.
    Thank you

    Hey, Airflow,
The airplane is looking great, but I get the impression you do NOT want to disappoint your supervisor. Better bring your "A Game"--she looks as though she expects perfection . . .
BTW, are you going to use LE Slats?
    Fly safely,

It took me going to Staples to prove that I am the purchaser of the copyrighted material by showing my paypal receipt. But problem solved. First step at getting an F-15...

No worries Shannon! Once I got there and resolved the issue they printed it on the spot.

I think I will do the minimalist paint scheme with stripes on wings & tail. Maybe even with a Sharpie. Paint and me don't do well together. My Mig v4 flew great with tape stripes until I decided to paint. Paint on my fingers - then paint on unpainted parts of the plane before I knew it, the whole plane was painted. Then crashed - hard. So I need a quick build....

That is what I prefer to do as well. Paint for orientation and get it in the air. For my own planes (not ones we do for pictures) I use the ugliest foam and a sharpie just to know what side is the top. I love the nice paint on them, but I'd rather be just flying more planes ;)

Lawn Dick's get paid actual real money to cut dirt into the air, white men can't shoot yet alone jump, don't buy a Foxeer Legend 1 camera and I put a rudder on the front of the F-15....

Did you show them that there is a copyright release right on the document itself?

Maybe take a copy of your PayPal receipt with you.

Yes, they read the Terms section on the plans and held up the print job because of that. They required me to prove that I was authorized to print it. But now they have my v.5 authorization on file. Until the v.6's come out....
