I just got my prints for free from FedEx Office because it took the Ol' Boy about 20 minutes to figure out how to do it.

That's what I was thinking. I'm wondering if they're having tiled plans printed commercially?

Here is the printer I have used. So nice to get rid of the time-consuming job to tape A4 paper...

Looks good, RumbleRC! I used to build until it was done but something happened when I turned 45, haha. How's the build so far?

My build is going great, center of gravity is on spot, balsa wood under the battery like a boss, streamlined control linkage, carbon fiber rudder support... winning.

The balsa wood just adds to the life of the plane and keeps everything strong during the forces of tight 300 MPH rolls at about 27 G's...

I also have come up with genius idea of putting the non-fuzzy side of velcro on both the battery AND in the fuselage. Then, use a good ol' fashion strap to hold it down. the benefits are plenty, and I will leave it up to your imagination to discover them all.

I like the fact the nose is not break away.

I am probably going to keep this plane unpainted or covered. I have some checkered covering, I might put that on the wings behind the kf2 and kf4 foils, for a little simple unique style.. black and white on top, red and yellow on the bottom? you know the pics will come if it happens, i will probably fly it first.

Weight with everything but the battery:

    293.3 grams
    .646 lbs
    10.344 oz

CA glue for the most part, hot glue when needed for gaps, servos, bottom of the rudder and the KF foils. 5 minute epoxy for the motor mounts...
I used to build 100% hot glue. I need to invest is some 30 minute epoxy for the fuselage and what not, the CA doesn't work good for that I have learned and the 5 minute just doesn't give you enough time. I wish I had 30 minute for the motor mount, also. 5 minutes to set things up right isn't very long!

here are some more build pics, as thumbnails:

Rumble did you do the build tiled. I'm doing untiled plans on blue print size paper, 36X48 in. sounds about right. That would be the difference in price.

The KF2 and KF4 foils are listed as optional. Being some what of a newbie to this hobby, when would you want to exercise using the optional KF2 and/or KF4 foils?

The KF2 will give you a bit more lift and make the plane feel more floaty in the air compared to a flat plate wing.

The KF4 will give you more speed and a more symmetrical airfoil that is good for acrobatics.

I would recommend the KF2 for a beginner.

Thanks XDm, that helps a lot. I have built the MiG-29 V4 with both the KF2 and Kf4 and found it more touchy to fly than the SU-27 so will go just with the KF2 on this one. Thanks again for the input.
