A video from the second flight.
Maiden day but now during the evening, almost no wind except for some gusts. With both slats and flaps, it's possible to fly this aircraft at a very low speed, much like an F-18 at low speed.:)

Had to sign a form for one of my printouts somewhere, I forget if it was OfficeMax or FedEx Print Center. They had no idea what the plans were. When I told then, they laughed, but still had me sign a form.

    Hey, Airflow,
Great video and perfect weather! Thanks for posting--you and the airplane are a good combination.
    Fly safely,

Thanks Guys! Not long before the twin setup is on, i'm very curious!.. about how the F-15 will handle the extra weight. So let's see if it can be approved with a "diff-thrust prop in vert stab twin-setup" like the MiG and Su-30 V4..? they did it so well!

  7. Now just to add the motor and fill up the hatch with goodies. :) 20160615_195122.jpg 20160615_195129.jpg 20160615_195137.jpg

Wait--I'm confused. How come the blue force airplane is red the the red force airplanes are green? The world is a strange and mystical place . . .

So I'm laying in bed a 3 o'clock in the morning wide awake thinking what can I do to make my F-15 V5 different. Well the light goes on and I said to myself lets make a break away nose. So I did. What's the worst that can happen. It falls of in flight. We'll see. F-15 breakaway nose_1.jpg F-15 breakaway nose.jpg

You're right about thinking about the worst. RCpowers planes are designed to fly and fly great as designed and built as planned. I'm one that always builds outside of the box. I'm not technically knowledgeable about aerodynamics. And with my experience I like to try new things out of the blue. I don't always dot every "i" or cross every "T" when I make a change to the plans and sometimes new thing don't go the way I planned. And this new nose has the possibilities. We'll just have to see.

    Sir sky hi:)
Noses are not essential for RCP planes, they are flying very well anyway.
So do not worry if you lose ur BAW-nose in mid-air. HAHA! ;)
