The cg mark that you should have marked on the batter hatch will tell you where to put the battery! The power system will impact it's position to maintain cg on the mark.

Hi everyone, my name is Sergiu and I live in Brasov,
Romania. Sorry, but use Google Translate to be understood. I finished building the F 117 V3. It is a model that I like very much. I mounted a brushless motor A2212 / 6T to 2200kv, 70 Amp ESC Trust, only one I have left available, battery RAY 2200 / 50C, propeller 6x4. Soon I'll put the rudder servo. Some pictures of my model.

I used a 6mm wood dowel as a leading edge on mine. I used a round file on the foam then uhu por it on. It's solid and saves rounding off the foam!

I've been out flying today! I had a bit of a lawn start moment because the battery came loose from the Velcro after a less than perfect landing . I felt the battery shift as soon as I threw it. The dowel leading edges saved the day, it was literally sticking out of the grass like and arrow with no damage other than where the battery cracked the front of the fuse! Unbelievable!

I have phoenix sim for sale if anyone is interested, £30. It's genuine with the version 5 update. It works on my dx6i but may need an adapter for other tx's

I have to raise money for more plans!

    RCPower team,

The F117 was my first ever scratch build plane, and it certainly will not be my last!
This jet flies AWESOME!!! Certainly has drawn a lot of attention at the local flying field...
Thanks for all your hard work making these plans available for us, and also for providing such great detailed instructions.

    F22 is next :)

  12. Nice looking plane dhskibum! I have built many scratch build planes and RCP and FRCfoamies certainly have the best scratch built foamies that perform like or even better than those commercially available!

20150527_154952_resized.jpg Well, I used a 2212/5 RCX motor this past weekend and it absolutely screams across the sky. I am a little worried about ripping the wings apart. I just changed it to a 2600 KV Suppo to tone it down a bit. This plane really wants to be inverted due to the weight distribution on the top of the aircraft. The opposite of the F35 V4. It is fun to fly and is real popular at the field. Keep on flyin!

Newest build from RCPowers. As always love the plans and the planes. Truly great designs and flyers as well.

Here's another landing gear idea for the F117 and other jets. I have been using zip ties.

Heat, mine does not show the tendency to be inverted. Are you using stock cg? I've found some people pulling back ch to minimize up trim on the f117 and this creates what you are describing. The f117 stock cg definitely requires up trim, but then the plane flies super stable right side up!
Oh, and I'd like to try that 2300 motor!

I think I was a bit tail heavy. Does your battery need to be far forward for the correct CG? Mine does.
