  1. Yes I did, I balanced it on the front edge of the spar registers. Battery was only maybe 1/2 way into the nose so loads of room yet

I have quite a bit of water near me but mainly a canal and river. The local lakes are run by the local coucil, (YOU CAN`T FLY THAT HERE!) or run by the local angling society, (YOU CAN`T FLY THAT HERE!)
I did try to fly an amphibian on the canal but it got attacked by a bloody great big male swan, then got stuck in the undergrowth as I tried to escape.
I managed to retrieve the stuck plane with my micro one man boat built from a sheet of 8`x4`x 8mm corroplast.

  4. Well all the controls are in and it is all glued together . Need to now just bend up some wire for the landing gear and it hopefully should be ready.

  8. landing gear is on and she is ready to test. Mother Nature is suppose to bring the temp up to 0 and as longs as the wind stays down I am out of here. ;)

  9. Well had the new girl out for a couple flights, once I got the balance and rates dialed in it flies really nice . Glides really nice dead stick, look what I had to go pick up again ;) .Those big props you really have to make sure they are balanced good. plus some of the collets are junk from the start. 2018_1218_125539_001.JPG

    Hi Bimo,
I have trouble keeping my enthusiasm for building these day`s and have at least half a dozen unfinished projects waiting.
Family matters take more of my time.

  13. Motor mount didn't break, the screws came out. LOL, 2 of the screws were laying beside the motor. :)

  14. Here are the videos, so flight 1 very short just a tad tail heavy so brought it in and moved the battery forward about 1/2" even though in the video I said back , duh. :D Flight 2 much better until the screws came out of the motor mount, my fault as I could hear the vibration and just kept on going. She did glide in for a nice smooth landing ;) .

It did sound rough for an electric set up but I really liked the sound.:)

No worries, BB56. Hope things get better at your end. My warmest regards, to your brother and parents my friend :)

Oh yes! Feels great to see another experiment flies well. Congratulations Wildthing! [IMG][IMG] She took off as smooth as silk for sure.

  18. If only the motors would stay in. ;)

  19. All back together again. new 3D printed cowl, nothing fancy like a 9 cylinder engine!!! :D :D New prop and balanced and even a new different collet . Used some thin double adhesive tape between the 3D motor mount and the actual X motor mount to act as a cushion or insulator. new slightly larger screws and they are ca glued in. If it comes out again I will weld it in!!!!!

I had a huge tidy up round the house and 3 sheds and I still can`t find anything:eek:
I`ll be on it again soon.:)
